Verin is a channeler who gives Moiraine and Lan a place to stay following what happened at The Eye. The character is played by Meera Syal.
Verin lives in a big farmhouse with her sister Adeleas the Warder, Tomas. She lets Moiraine and Lan stay at her place and recover after Moiraine loses her powers.
She and Tomas comfort Lan as Moiraine keeps pushing him away. When Moiraine and Lan are attacked by multiple Fade, Verin arrives with Adeleas and Tomas to save them.
A wise presence
Verin tells Moiraine that they left the Tower to compile a guide with the history of everything since the breaking and promised themselves that they would not return until they finished it.
She then asks Moiraine why multiple Fade would be after her, before admitting that she knows about her task to find the Dragon Reborn and get them ready to fight the Dark One.
