Tristan Liones is the ace of the British Camelot team in Rising Impact. Daman Millis voices the character.
Tristan Liones and the rest of the British team do not mingle with the other teams before the competition because they don’t take them seriously.
They have won eight out of the last ten cups and Tristan has come first in the last two individual tournaments.
The others learn about him when he and Percival destroy the other pairs in the team competition by taking all 18 points.
Todoin goes to shake his hand after but Tristan ignores him. When Gawain tries to pull him back, he says that he simply didn’t notice Todoin
Honoring his memory
Tristan was bullied by others for his strange golf swing and his poor background. His father worked multiple jobs so that Tristan could continue his golfing dreams.
After his father collapsed at work, Tristan wanted to quit and not put his father through so much pressure but his father says that it is a privilege for him to help his son.
Tristan continues to work hard and is eventually recruited to the Camelot Academy. He couldn’t tell his father because he passed away from working too hard.
Tristan makes it his goal to excel in golfing and prove that his father’s sacrifice wasn’t in vain.
The day before the individual competition, Yumiko and Lancelot head to town and they spot Tristan paying his respects at his father’s grave.
His father’s name was Meliodas Liones, and Tristan leaves some flowers and says a prayer before walking away.
Pushed to his limits
Gawain hopes to be paired with Tristan in the individual competition but Lancelot gets the opportunity instead.
Gawain and his group follow them so he gets to see Tristan’s quality up close, with Percival explaining his strengths.
Tristan’s unorthodox swing makes him an expert at finding the hole from anywhere within 120 yards.
His all-around reading of the game is also spectacular and Lancelot is shaken to his core at finding someone significantly better than him.
After Gawain’s injury, he steps it up a notch and helps Lancelot regain his confidence. Together, they show Tristan that they are capable of reaching his level.
For the first time in his life, Tristan feels tested and this shows in a few nervy moments before he steels himself again.
It is revealed that much like Gawain and Lancelot’s gifts, Tristan has a gift too. He sees the wind in the form of meteors, and it helps him perfect his game.
Tristan starts playing more aggressively to stave off the threat of Gawain catching up and ultimately wins.
He doesn’t feel like it was earned and initially refuses his prize and then later offers it to Gawain because he believes Gawain deserves it more.
Tristan is thankful for coming up against Lancelot and Gawain, and it gives him a new perspective on how to approach the game.
