The Upshaws part 3 ending explained in detail:
What happens between Lucretia and Frank?
Lucretia was on the plane with Frank and just about to head to Atlanta when she got the call about Regina’s heart attack. She insisted on getting off and derailed her plans with Frank.
Later on, when she has dinner with Frank at a fast-food place with Aliyah and Maya, he sees how attached she is to her family and her life in Indiana.
They amicably decide to split up as Lucretia would never leave her family and move away, no matter how much she loves Frank.
Does Bernard get back with Hector?
Bernard sees Hector at the gym a little while after his mother’s heart attack and tells him that he realized life is too short to worry about what other people think.
He asks Hector if they can give things another shot and Hector tells him to meet him at a bar where Hector has a side gig. When Bernard reaches there, he finds out that it is a drag bar and Hector is one of the performers.
Hector is worried for a second when Bernard walks away but Bernard actually gets a bunch of singles from the bar and shows Hector that he’s all in.
Does Regina go to college?
When Regina first reads her acceptance letter, she doesn’t seem too thrilled about it. That weekend, her family sends her off for a campus tour and Regina is still hesitant.
When Bennie and the boys visit a casino nearby, he sees Regina there and asks her why she isn’t at college. When they get home, she tells him and Lucretia that she’s changed her mind about going to college.
Bennie and Lucretia do their utmost best to figure out why Regina might have changed her mind and the best answer they get is from Dr. Webber, who says that Regina might be depressed and is reacting to a traumatic situation.
Rather than suggest she speak to a professional, they try to cheer her up themselves but it doesn’t go well. Regina goes over to Lucretia’s house after hearing about her breakup and stays there, letting Bennie know that she’s not sure when she’ll be back.
What about Kelvin?
Bennie and Kelvin made peace about moving in with Noah and Noah later decides to propose to Tasha. Kelvin shows up at the house after Regina’s attack and decides to help out a little.
Later on, after Regina has decided to stay away for a while, Tasha drops off Kelvin stating that he has now decided he wants to stay with his father for a while.
