Plot summary:
Leia worries that Red and Kitty will return before the hole in their wall is fixed and her worries are proven right.
They are seething with anger and Red wants to know who is responsible. Nick takes the blame for his friends so Red says he’s going to torture the young man’s soul.
Nate tells Jay that he took the blame so that Nikki would look at him as a hero for making such a big sacrifice.
Leia wants to do something nice for Nate so Jay says that he’s a huge wrestling fan and they can get something signed at the wrestling convention in Milwaukee.
Jay, Leia, and Ozzie go to the convention while Kitty sits down with Nikki and Gwen to show them pictures from her trip.
Nate fixes up the wall and earns some respect from Red. He gets advice on what to do about his feelings for Nikki since he is still in love with her.
Donna returns to find Red and Kitty getting deeply involved in Beanie Babies. Leia believes she is ready to have sex with Jay but he hurts his shoulder.
While he visits Sonny and Bunch along with Nate and Ozzie, Gwen and Nikki tell Leia that she should try masturbation to prepare herself.
Hijinks ensue until Donna tells Leia that nothing related to sex will happen perfectly the first time and it usually tends to be awkward.
She and Jay finally have sex and it’s a magical experience for them both. Jay tells Nate that he needs to move on from Nikki, but unfortunately, he runs into Betsy Kelso, Jay’s sister.
Ozzie meets another boy at the wrestling convention but he doesn’t get his name so Kitty helps him find the boy through the missed connections column of the paper.
Nikki starts dating Theo, the guy working at the Hub, and is very impressed by his maturity.
Betsy takes control over Nate’s life and this causes a feud between him and Jay. With Nate not around, Jay treats Leia like his “bro” so she tries to get them to be friends again.
Gwen’s father, Otis, comes into town and promises to teach her how to drive his truck. Sherri asks Kitty for help keeping her and Otis apart because every time he visits, things spiral.
The interference doesn’t help and Sherri and Otis end up sleeping together. Otis misses the driving lesson he promised and Gwen steals his truck to send a message.
They don’t get far and Otis and Sherri are about to scold her but Kitty suggests they talk to her. Gwen asks Otis why he doesn’t want to spend time with her.
He comes up with excuses and then apologizes for not being around or being a good father to her.
Nate realizes that he isn’t happy with Betsy so he tries to break up with her but she doesn’t let him. Jay suggests that he be clingy which might work.
When she asks Nate why she isn’t enough for him, he blurts out that he’s in love with Nikki in front of a crowd that includes Nikki and Theo.
Nikki doesn’t believe Nate but when Theo agrees to fight him, she breaks up with him for being just as childish as Nate.
Kitty gets her third speeding ticket in a year so she tries to get Leia to lie for her and smooth things at court but Leia feels conflicted.
She eventually accepts that family is what is important but Kitty feels guilty and doesn’t let her lie.
Donna tells Leia that Eric got a job in California so she can either move with him, stay in Chicago with her, or stay in Point Place with Kitty and Red and do the school year there.
Kitty is thrilled but Red isn’t as excited. Leia and her friends begin a charm offensive to convince Donna that Leia should stay in Point Place.
However, Donna is reminded of all the reasons she left the place like her overbearing father and people like Mitch, who shows up and is inappropriate with her.
Eventually, she realizes that Leia enjoys it there and has close friends so it would be good for her to stay.
Ending explained:
Laying down the law
Even though she agrees to let Leia stay, she doesn’t trust her friends and warns them. If they corrupt her in any way, Leia will end up in an all-girls school just like she did.
Leia is genuinely spooked about her mom’s threat and buckles down but the other wants to give her the local high school experience.
They say that the night before the first day of school, they hang out on the roof so they want Leia to be there with them this time.
She isn’t sure but they have a plane to get her blazed up there.
Butting heads
With Leia staying in Point Place, Kitty takes a true hands-on approach but Donna asks her to run things by her since she is Leia’s mother.
The two of them cannot agree on how to take care of Leia and Kitty accuses Donna of being too controlling in everything she’s doing.
Nikki’s parents pawn off her guitar so Nate takes her to the pawn shop where they find Fenton.
He works there and offers her guitar back for 1000 dollars. They leave there disappointed and Nikki accepts that she cannot follow her dreams.
Messing up
Gwen and Ozzie help Leia sneak out of her house that night but run into Kitty smoking in the driveway.
Kitty lets them go because she doesn’t want to be on the same side as Donna. Donna goes into Leia’s room and discovers that she’s missing.
Kitty admits to letting them go and she also gets caught for her smoking. Jay said he would use Kitty’s work keys to get them to the roof but Leia asks him not to.
It might get her in trouble, but Jay does it anyway and lies about it. They all have a good time up there and Nate even gets Nikki’s guitar back.
He traded Fenton his van and she admits that she still loves them. They are blazing on the roof when Donna, Kitty, and Red show up to bust them.
Kitty asks for her keys back and Leia is hurt that Jay lied to her. She heads back with Donna, ready for whatever punishment comes her way.
