So Min-Hye, a major supporting character in the Disney+ action drama series, A Shop for Killers, is a femme fatale with a wide array of lethal skills.
The World of A Shop for Killers is rife with deadly assassins proficient in all sorts of weapons and skills.
They also seem to have no concerns like sweating the details of a mission.
Most of these assassins in the story thus far are on a mission to kill Jeong Ji-An, the niece of Jeong Jin-Man
He was a mysterious man who owned and operated murthehelp, a shopping mall that sells a menagerie of weaponry and illegal services.
Now that Ji-An has inherited the shopping mall after his death, she has attracted the wrath of dozens upon dozens of assassins, who have been hunting her for way before her uncle’s death.
Some of the assassins are there to protect her, though, as she wields the Code Green, which is essentially a measure put in place by her uncle to ensure her safety in case he’s gone.
So Min-Hye is one such exceptionally lethal and fearless assassin who has undertaken the job of protecting Code Green, i.e., Jeong Ji-An.
An unwelcome visitor
The first appearance of So Min-Hye in A Shop for Killers is rather suspicious.
She scopes out the Jin-Man’s house from afar while Ji-An is discovering some damning secrets about her late uncle’s profession.
However, shortly enough, she shoots down the killer drones with her high-tech EMP gun. She then knocks at the door to an already alarmed Ji-An.
She introduces herself as Jin-Man’s Chinese tutor but Ji-An is too alarmed to let her in. She also knows Chinese so she talks back to her, confidently dismissing her insistent entry.
So Min-Hye has no choice but to back down and drive away. However, she remains close and later comes back to shoot down more drones.
She later helps Ji-An duck a sniper bullet as she takes herself before preparing herself to contend with a dozen armed assassins to protect Ji-An.
An unhinged assassin
While trying to protect Ji-An, Min-Hye gets shot in the arm by Seong-Jo, the sniping assassin who makes it hard for everyone to move about freely in the house.
It does faze her but doesn’t stop her. Soon, she teaches Ji-An how to load a sniper gun and later uses it herself to kill Seong-Jo’s driver.
She then directs Ji-An and Bae Jeong-Min to the storage shed, where they use a lift to descend to murthehelp, the shopping mall that Jin-Man ran and now it’s Ji-An’s to run.
While they reach the shopping mall beneath the ground, Seong-Jo’s fellow assassins make their way into the shed above.
Led by the veteran Mr. Kim, the assassins drop dead one by one as So Min-Hye takes them out in a brutal kill streak that ends with the veteran.
In this fight, she displays an incredible level of combat intellect, spatial awareness, and tact.
Even Mr. Kim recognizes even before he gets to face off against her, that she operates on another level of expertise.
It is in his brief conversation with Seong-Jo that it’s revealed that Min-Hye is Class S holding Codes Red and Purple.
This means that she’s an elite assassin as well as a spy, which also means she can avail all the items from murthehelp eligible for her codes.
