Plot summary:
Lancelot finally reveals himself to Tristan as the Knight monster reverts to the giants and demons it was created from just like the mage reverted to the captured fairies.
They thank Tristan and Lancelot for rescuing them and leave while the two princes push forward. An armored figure named Jericho is keeping an eye on them from afar and telepathically informs Lancelot to look toward the castle.
An entire army of empties charges toward them and Lancelot calls for a retreat but Tristan charges forward astride Escanor. Suddenly, he finds himself up in the air as it turns out that Lancelot switched back to fairy form to lift them out of trouble.
Jericho notices how much trouble they are in and creates an ice bridge to help them get to the castle. They reach inside and finally come face to face with Deathpierce and the priest. Deathpierce introduces himself and explains why he has such hatred for non-human races.
The fairy king gives Elizabeth a small sip of the secret elixir and that does heal her slightly but it doesn’t lift the curse entirely. The others ask about Tristan and Meliodas realizes that he must have found out where the origin of the curse was and headed there.
Tristan attempts to attack the priest with his magic but Deathpierce brushes it off effortlessly. Lancelot observes that Deathpierce can only manipulate magic coming at him from a distance so he moves in close to fight him in hand-to-hand combat.
This gives Tristan the opening he needs to attack the priest so that the curse upon his mother can be lifted. The fight carries on and Tristan feels his demon power taking over so he holds back. Lancelot tells him to go all out and he releases a fraction of the power.
Deathpierce is surprised by this new power but isn’t too threatened and calls in the army of empties to take care of the princes. However, Meliodas, Ban, and Gowther arrive just in time to make quick work of the entire army.
Ban sees the ice bridge and realizes that his son might be there. Tristan finally takes down the priest and Diane arrives with the fairy king and Elizabeth, who is fully healed at this point.
She tells Meliodas that it was their son who saved her. Deathpierce attempts to run away to another dimension using the staff of chaos but Tristan and Lancelot follow him out there.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh part 2 ending explained in detail:
What happens to Deathpierce?
Deathpierce loses his mind because he wasn’t able to get his revenge against the Goddess race and the Demon race and he lets the staff of chaos consume him, turning him into a grotesque monster.
Lancelot and Tristan realize that their weapons have no effect on the monster and Lancelot tells Tristan that he needs to give in to his demon powers.
Deathpierce attacks Lancelot and appears to kill him, which gives Tristan the confidence to let go. However, Lancelot survives and Tristan holds back once again.
What does Lancelot tell Tristan?
Tristan was always worried about hurting other people just like he hurt Lancelt when they were sparring but Lancelot took it as an insult. He wanted to prove that he can beat Tristan in a fight and pushes him to give in to his demon powers.
Tristan listens to him and embraces the demon within him to finally defeat Deathpierce. Then he fights with Lancelot where he is beaten before passing out with a smile.
Back in Edinburgh, Meliodas and the others discuss Tristan’s demon powers and the fear that he holds so Gowther explains that Tristan needs someone by his side who he trusts, just like Meliodas had Ban and the other sins.
What is the aftermath of the fight?
Lancelot finds Deathpierce clutching the staff of chaos and a flashback shows that the former Holy Knight was given the staff by King Arthur himself.
Lancelot smashes the staff, transporting them all back to Edinburgh. Tristan regains consciousness and embraces his parents. Lancelot heads off on his own journey, with Jericho continuing to follow close behind.
The giants and fairies who were rescued thank their saviors as they bring momentary peace back to the kingdom.
