In Killer Soup, there is a secret surrounding the birth of Apeksha, also known as Appu, that her father, Arvind, and uncle, Lucas, don’t want to talk about.
Appu, the daughter of Arvind Shetty, who runs the company Rising Sun, finds herself at odds with her father when he is reluctant to let Appu pursue her artistic ambitions.
Arvind and Appu share a strained relationship, where Appu seeks freedom to do what she wants, whereas her father plans to have her run Rising Sun.
While Appu has this difficult relationship with Arvind, she shares a heartfelt one with her Uncle Lucas, who is more caring, understanding, and considerate towards Appu.
The night Appu was born
When Lucas catches Appu working with Swathi and threatens Swathi with the information he has on her and Umesh, Swathi gives him back by claiming that she will expose his secret too.
Appu’s mother died giving birth to Appu. That night, Arvind was busy at work in Chennai. After his wife’s death, Arvind burned all of his wife’s pictures and clothes.
Appu likes to think that her father somewhere hates her because she resembles her mother.
During a confrontation, Arvind denies the claim that he doesn’t love his daughter and says that everything he has done is for her.
Swathi, who was close to Appu’s mother, was working at the hospital the night Appu was born.
Arvind didn’t come to be by his wife’s side for three days. Swathi tries to reveal why Arvind and Lucas don’t get along.
Appu threatens to shoot herself if Arvind doesn’t tell her the truth. During a struggle, Arvind gets shot and meets his end at the hospital.
Is Lucas Appu’s father?
Killer Soup never confirms the secret that it has been hinting at about Appu’s birth. However, all the hints that the show drops point out that Lucas is, in reality, Appu’s father.
Before dying, Arvind, who has realized his mistakes, shares a heartfelt goodbye with Appu, allowing her to pursue all her dreams. Arvind leaves all of his properties, cash, house, and business to Appu in his will.
In the finale, Lucas attempts to tell Appu the truth about him and her mother. However, it seems like Appu has figured it out.
She continues to call Lucas her uncle and tells him that she doesn’t need to know the truth. She doesn’t want to be angry anymore.
Despite everything, she does miss Lucas, and Lucas misses her too. The two end up reconciling with each other after all the drama they have been through.
