Barry feels a hole within after the end of the war because he doesn’t what he is without the rush he feels when things are dangerous.
Sammy is devastated because Lavash is dead but he doesn’t want to deal with his grief and looks for ways to take his mind away from it.
The foods are celebrated until it starts raining and many of them start dying. A flood washes in and Gum sacrifices himself to help the others.
Without someone to explain what the rain was, many of the foods are left in fear and retreat to the store.
Barry finds a human hiding in the woods and Frank and Brenda go with him to ask the human questions about the water falling from the sky.
They find three humans at a camp and kill two of them. Barry controls the last one named Jack and takes him back to the food to help.
They explain that the rain happens only once in a while so they have nothing to worry about. Everyone gets out of the store before the place collapses.
While they were passing time, Sammy discovered that he had a flair for entertaining and got obsessed with the attention others were giving him.
The foods move to a new community with many storefronts but orange, Julius introduces the concept of possession by staking his claim on an entire store all for himself.
Barry wants to kill Jack publicly and Sammy suggests hosting a music festival so that he can be the center of the attention during the ritual.
A crow wreaks havoc during the preparations and they defeat it with more help from Jack. Frank and Brenda want to keep Jack alive if they have other problems, but Barry thinks that is a bad idea.
Frank and Brenda replace Jack with another body and hide him in their treehouse. Meanwhile, Julius introduces capitalism by attaching value to the human teeth everyone is collecting.
Frank feels lost without having anything to do until Frank and Brenda notice that the foods are stealing teeth from each other.
Julius has taken control of the toy store and the shops with refrigeration and he is charging teeth for anyone wanting to get in.
Slums have cropped up filled with stale and less fortunate foods so Barry is tasked with setting up a task force.
They round up foods that are stealing and when they don’t know what to do with them, Frank and Brenda introduce a judicial system, effectively creating a justice system.
Julius gathers wealth through teeth and then gradually takes control over everything thanks to his collection.
Sammy discovers an electronics store with the capability of broadcasting live and uses the opportunity to be the center of attention once again.
Once his jokes get stale, he gets a new hook by delivering the news. Brenda and Frank hope to introduce a “share-sies” system that would bring equality.
But Julius speaks against that and uses fear-mongering to turn the public against Frank and Brenda’s plan.
When Brenda wonders what went wrong, Jack explains that these are all human concepts and their “share-sies” idea is the same as taxes which are always opposed by the rich.
Sammy suggests a vote to decide who their leader would be and Jack explains the concept of an election to Frank and Brenda.
While Brenda wants to earnestly campaign, Frank believes that they need more teeth to gain a foothold in the race because Julius holds a monopoly.
Jack helps Frank carry out a heist by explaining the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise to him, but Brenda is disappointed in Frank for stooping so low.
Barry believes that a human is on the loose and suspects Frank of being involved. When he can’t find him, he turns his attention to Brenda.
She admits that Jack is still alive and takes him back to the treehouse. Jack helps Frank with his campaign and listens to him, growing closer as time passes.
Barry and Brenda walk in on Frank and Jack having sex. They are disgusted by it while Jack runs away with Frank.
Julius uses his power to give Sammy the stage he wants in front of everyone and exchange, Sammy has to propagate lies against Frank and Brenda.
The new developments split Frank and Brenda and Julius ends up winning the election.
Frank feels horrible for what he did and agrees to get rid of Jack after apologizing. Barry follows him and realizes that Frank and Jack love each other.
Frank sends Jack away because he wants to make up with Brenda. Brenda hopes to appeal to Julius as one final attempt.
She sneaks into his room and discovers that Julius has been the puppet of a tiny rice grain named Jeri.
Jeri was hopeful about Foodtopia but then the flood came and she saw the true nature of food and how everyone was looking for themselves.
She had so much hate within her and she figured she could pilot Julius and use his strength to get what she wanted.
She then tries to kill Brenda and succeeds in catching her under a water tap. Frank shows up right then and is with Brenda as she breathes her last.
Julius has Frank arrested for her murder as no one else knows about Jeri.
Ending explained:
The final verdict
Sammy doesn’t believe that Frank would have killed Brenda and doesn’t want to report the news so Julius has him replaced.
Barry made Sammy realize that he was trying to gain more affection from people instead of grieving for Lavash.
They visit Frank after the announcement that he will be executed in public. Frank is heartbroken and doesn’t want to escape when Barry suggests it.
The truth on tape
Veiner Hotzdog had been documenting Brenda’s travels and he managed to catch the whole fight between her and Julius.
Including Jeri turning on the tap and then going into Julius. Sammy says that they need to get that to the electronics store and show everyone.
Barry realizes that their only route is an air vent and they need Jack’s help to get there. They tell him that Frank is in trouble and they need his ultra-frisbee skills to save him.
Barry and Sammy get to the store and broadcast the footage to everyone just as Frank is being lowered onto a barbecue.
Everyone saves Frank and Barry goes after Julius, getting Jeri out of him. Frank chooses to forgive her because it would have been what Brenda wanted.
Then a crow swoops in and grabs the little rice grain before flying away.
Chaos and order
Frank wants to abolish the systems that arose and follow Brenda’s dream but the food realizes that without a leader, they can go back to doing whatever they want.
Anarchy reigns as the stronger foods start claiming things for themselves. Barry and Sammy don’t know what to do but Frank returns with Jack covered in armor.
He says that the only way to help them is by controlling what they do and he is going to lay down the law with Jack’s help.
A drone with a camera flies above them, observing all of this happen.
