Sarah has long felt like she is invisible to the students at school. However, she plans to change all of that by becoming a popular social media influencer.
She works on herself during summer holidays and returns with the goal of making new friends and involving herself in all the fun activities the people she sees online indulge in.
Unfortunately, after boarding her school bus, she realizes that her efforts haven’t paid off and that she is still invisible to the world.
Sarah’s nature and her family
Sarah carries a cheerful and optimistic personality. The notes in her room suggest that she has taught herself to be more confident.
She is indeed everything she has written about herself. It’s the social media and bullies at school that make her feel inferior.
Sarah’s best friend, Nadeen, knows this, but Sarah is oblivious to how Tasneem, the school’s beauty queen, treats her. Sarah just somehow wants to be in the good books of Tasneem and collaborate with her.
Sarah’s mother is quite supportive of her, but her father thinks sending Sarah to an expensive school like AlRawabi is a waste of money.
Sarah’s brother, Jawad, feels for Sarah. However, he can’t be of much help to her.
Sarah’s sudden rise and its consequences
Sarah’s wish to hang out where all the popular kids do backfires on her. Sarah is told that she can never fit in with the likes of Tasneem or be friends with boys like Ali and Omar.
Sarah, adamant that she won’t be invisible, comes up with a video idea on the types of girls at her school. The video is a hit, and Sarah becomes a star overnight.
Sarah is finally visible to everyone, and all of her dreams come true. She is included everywhere and invited to big events. Even Tasneem welcomes her into her group.
The fame comes with its drawbacks. Sarah loses her best friend, Nadeen, who does nothing but try to tell Sarah that Tasneem is just friends with her because of her popularity.
Most importantly, Sarah becomes everything she shouldn’t have. Lost in her new status, Sarah fails to notice girls like her, who are still vying for the attention that Sarah has managed to gain.
Sarah struggles to fit into the group of rich kids that she hangs out with now. She doesn’t have the money she needs to buy expensive clothes and eat at fancy restaurants.
This drives Sarah to make a grave mistake. Sarah’s popularity attracts creeps that flood her inbox. Sarah replies to one of them, who is willing to pay her for a picture of her feet.
The scandal
After her first exchange with the creep, Sarah is able to buy the dress she wanted for an event. She lies to her mother and says that a brand approached her.
The creep doesn’t stop after this exchange. Sarah keeps receiving texts from this person, who is asking for more.
The person also has information on her, which is used against her. To protect herself, Sarah makes the mistake of sending this person a video that the person demanded.
Ms. Abeer saves Sarah from this, but when Sarah’s brother, Jawad, sees Sarah’s video and her chat with her blackmailer, he forwards it to his phone, intending to call this blackmailer, unaware that the matter has been taken care of.
A student at his school forwards Sarah’s video onto his phone, and soon the video is uploaded to TikTok.
While Sarah is cornered at her school for disgracing the name of AlRawabi, Jawad is bullied by the students at his school.
Sarah’s life falls apart, with her parents taking away all the freedom they had given her. Jawad, on the other hand, faces at least 10 months in prison for stabbing a student.

After going through a rollercoaster of a ride, Sarah doesn’t shy away from sharing her story with everyone through Shams’ documentary, which exposes the truth about people on social media.
Sarah comes forward and shares her experience to make sure that another Sarah like her, who has long felt invisible and has turned to social media, doesn’t suffer in an attempt to fit in with people she sees online who, in real life, are struggling too.
Sarah’s speech and Shams’ documentary leave an impact. After being despised for a long time, Sarah is showered with claps and standing ovations at the special event at AlRawabi.
