In Tooth Pari: When Love Bites, Rumi starts falling for Roy after realizing how humane he is. In her previous life, she never met such people and grew to hate humans as she became a vampire.
When Rumi fails to find someone from her world who can fix her tooth, she opts to visit a human dentist. She walks into Dr. Roy’s clinic, and the more time she spends with him, the more she learns how good of a person he is.
Rumi relates to Roy’s struggles, as even his parents are controlling. On top of that, everyone else seems to see him as a loser. Despite all of that, he stays kind to everyone.
All of this makes Rumi change her mind at the last second and save Roy from Sreela, who had come aboveground to hunt him down and steal his blood.
Rumi and Roy strike up a romance, but the moment Roy finds out that she is a vampire, he rejects her by calling her a monster, which reminds her of how the world treated her when she was a human being.
Rumi’s past life as a human
Watching Rumi fall apart makes David meet Dr. Roy and share with him how humans wronged Rumi. When Rumi was a human, she fell in love with a boy during her college days.
She was madly in love with him, but the boy didn’t feel the same way towards her. When she accidentally got pregnant with his child, the boy abandoned her. Rumi sought comfort from her parents, and even they didn’t provide her with the love she needed.
Rumi’s parents not only forced her to abort the child, but they also got her married to an abusive man. Her husband broke her from the inside out. Rumi still kept living in hopes of raising her second child.
Unfortunately, her second child passed away as soon as it came into the world. Rumi lost all hope and attempted to kill herself by jumping into a river.
David saw her doing it. He jumped off from behind her and bit her in the water. Rumi was then reborn as a vampire and was welcomed into Ora’s clan. Vampires like David and Meera gave her the love she looked for everywhere.
Meeting Roy and his family made Rumi think that not all humans are evil. Hearing Rumi’s story makes Roy reconsider his decision regarding pursuing his relationship with Rumi.
Is Rumi’s daughter still alive?
During the fight between Luna Luka and Rumi, the former recognizes Rumi to be something else; she isn’t the same species of vampire; she is far stronger and doesn’t die the way other vampires do.
Rumi defeats Luna Luka. She earns the respect of the vampires from Ora’s clan, who start fearing her. Rumi now runs Ora’s clan and makes changes to the way they navigate life.
AD doesn’t mind because he knows how to bring her back to him. In the final moments of Tooth Pari: When Love Bites, AD reveals that Rumi’s daughter is still alive and only he knows where she is.
