Roongroj’s death in Master of the House explained

In Master of the House, Roongroj, the president of Theva Gems, dies under mysterious circumstances shortly after marrying his housemaid.

Roongroj, a diamond tycoon, has been fostering competition between his two sons since their childhood, preparing them to eventually succeed him.

However, he failed to be a good father because he was consistently harsh and never loved his sons, leading to his sons not loving him in return.

His sons try very hard to please him but only because they want his fortune. Roongroj is well aware that his sons cannot wait for him to die to take control of his company.

Roongroj decides to marry his personal housemaid, Kaimook, in the hope of having another son, who will not only be a worthy heir but also an obedient son.

He informs his family of his decision just minutes before the wedding, However, Roongroj and Kaimook do not get to be a married couple for long, so Roongroj dies that very night.

Kaimook’s revenge

Soon after Kaimook began working at the mansion, Roongroj assaulted her after inviting her to the greenhouse at night under the pretense of showing her moths.

Kaimook was not the only housemaid he assaulted; another housemaid named Dao also suffered at his hands. Dao eventually took her own life.

Unlike Dao, Kaimook decides against suffering silently. Even when she gets the chance, she does not run away.

Instead, she resolves to stay and seek revenge on Roongroj and his family for their mistreatment of the household staff.

Kaimook leads Roongroj to believe that she is loyal to him and that she is willing to give him a dutiful son who would take over his business empire.

Roongroj then marries Kaimook and names her the sole beneficiary in his will, unaware that she is conspiring with the household staff against him and his family.

On the night of their marriage, she drugs Roongroj and then delivers a forged letter to his younger son, Mavin, informing him that he has been fired by Roongroj.

When Roongroj starts hallucinating, she uses the lights in his room to scare him, causing him to fall from the balcony and die just as Mavin angrily storms into the room in a drunken state.

Getting away with Roongroj’s murder

Kaimook becomes the first person to discover Roongroj’s body and alerts the family of his death. His death is ruled an accident by the police, but Kaimook insists that he was murdered.

Mavin has his father’s will altered and becomes his heir. The will was made in Kaimook’s presence, and she knows that Mavin changed it, but she does not tell anyone about it.

Instead, she convinces Phupat, Roongroj’s older son, that his father was murdered and that she is staying at the mansion to find his killer.

She shows Phupat camera footage of Mavin angrily entering his father’s study around the time of his murder. Phupat comes to believe that his brother planned to kill their father and take over the company.

Phupat then kills his brother with the help of Kaimook and the household staff, unaware that Kaimook instructed them to record Mavin’s murder.

Now, Kaimook has all the evidence she needs to frame Phupat and Mavin. She claims that they were angry with Roongroj for marrying a housemaid and killed him for the inheritance.

She further alleges that Phupat used the same drug to kill Mavin after Mavin betrayed him by changing Roongroj’s will. As a result, Phupat becomes a wanted man.

After Mavin’s death, Roongroj’s real will is found, allowing Kaimook to not only get away with murdering Roongroj but also inherit everything he owned.
