In Mea Culpa, Raymond Harper is Mea’s brother-in-law, who is married to Charlise. Nick Sagar plays Ray.
Raymond Harper, also known as Ray, is the assistant to the District Attorney. Unlike Kal, he is pretty strict with his wife, Charlise.
Even Kal is afraid that Ray and his mother will find out that he is jobless. Mea doesn’t enjoy Ray and Azalea’s controlling behavior, and she hates it when they make decisions for her.
Whereas Ray thinks Mea antagonizes his brother, who, according to Ray, has done everything for Mea.
Enter Zyair Malloy case
Raymond and Mea find themselves butting heads when Mea considers picking up Zyair Malloy’s case.
Zyair Malloy’s case is assigned to Ray, and this creates a conflict, as Mea and Ray are family. Furthermore, Ray needs this win.
Ray is running for mayor. He is going to win the Zyair Malloy case and build his campaign around fighting crime. Zyair Malloy will be Ray’s poster boy.
Ray and Azalea decide for Mea that she will not pick up the case, and just to stand up to them, Mea decides to represent Zyair.
Ray and his family’s plot
When Mea finds out the truth about Hydie and Azalea’s cancer, Ray is forced to disclose that he used Azalea’s sickness, which is a lie, as a means to gain sympathy for his mayoral campaign, and they are punishing Zyair because his wife, Charlise, had an affair with him.
Ray plans to become a hero in the public’s eyes by sending Zyair to prison, but now that Mea knows about their plan, she is a big obstacle standing in their way.
The family, including Kal, attempts to get rid of Mea, but she manages to escape from their clutches and tell the world the truth.
While Kal possibly dies in an accident caused by Mea, Ray is arrested on charges of covering up evidence in a crime, along with a number of other charges. Zyair Malloy, on the other hand, is acquitted of all the charges.
