General Puckett: Monarch: Legacy of Monsters character explained

In Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, General Puckett is Lee’s superior. Christopher Heyerdahl plays General Puckett.

General Puckett is the one who sends Lee Shaw to be Dr. Keiko Miura’s escort on her expedition in the Philippines.

Lee describes General Puckett as old-fashioned, considering the comments he makes. Meanwhile, Keiko is sure that people like General Puckett won’t think twice about blowing up a MUTO if they discover more of them.

Puckett bombs Godzilla in 1954

After discovering a dragon in the Philippines and learning that more such monsters roam the earth, Lee, Keiko, and Billy turn to General Puckett.

Lee firmly believes they need some serious backing to continue their study of these monsters. Hence, General Puckett is invited to see what they have discovered.

Unfortunately, General Puckett thinks of getting rid of monsters like Godzilla immediately rather than spending time studying them, as they can be an existential threat to global security.

Puckett argues with Lee why they need to kill Godzilla

Under the guise of a top-secret nuclear test, General Puckett attacks Godzilla with a nuclear bomb in an attempt to kill the monster in 1954.

The bombing of Godzilla upsets Keiko, but on the brighter side, they receive funding to continue their project and find out whether more such monsters exist.

However, this time around, Lee, Billy, and Keiko plan to keep certain aspects of their investigation and studies from General Puckett.

General Puckett takes over Monarch

General Puckett sees a great future in Lee Shaw. Puckett likes to think that he is Lee’s guiding light. To some point, Lee agrees that the kind of future Puckett has projected for him is good.

Things take a turn when Keiko and Billy visit Japan to see the emergence of another titan. Lee is not able to join them because he is told to stay behind to present their budget proposal to the committee.

Out of concern for Keiko, Lee decides to go against General Puckett’s orders and visits Japan. During his unauthorized absence, General Puckett hands operational command and control of Monarch to another officer.

Keiko, Lee, and Billy now have no option but to report every discovery they make to General Puckett and his associates, who would keep attacking monsters like Godzilla instead of studying them and understanding what they are dealing with.
