Phupat: Master of the House character explained

Phupat, Roongroj’s elder son, is a bitter man who never gets credit for his efforts. In Master of the House, Chartayodom Hiranyasthiti plays Phupat.

From an early age, Roongroj taught his sons to compete against each other to make them worthy successors. As a result, his sons became each other’s worst enemies.

While Phupat works hard to get ahead, Mavin resorts to cheating to succeed. Mavin often wins, and Phupat fails to impress their father.

Phupat grew up hating both his father and brother, yet he still tries to earn his father’s approval to be chosen as his heir.

After Roongroj dies, Phupat plans to succeed him. However, despite playing a significant role in expanding the business, it is Mavin who becomes president by altering their father’s will.

Phupat’s desperation

As a domineering man, Phupat disregards both Kita’s and Padcha’s wishes. Phupat married Padcha because his father forced him. He still does not love or respect her, despite Padcha’s unwavering support.

After Mavin becomes president of the company, Phupat grows even angrier and more bitter. He turns to drugs to cope and directs his frustration at his family.

He is then approached by Kaimook, who convinces him that Mavin killed Roongroj. She provides footage of Mavin storming into Roongroj’s room minutes before his death.

Phupat hands the evidence to the police, but Mavin, using his power and influence, buries the evidence. Mavin also fires Phupat and asks him to leave the house.

Phupat then goes as far as taking advantage of Shutter’s critical condition, making Padcha arrange a heart transplant for Shutter in exchange for Araya’s shares.

However, he finds out that Araya had already transferred the majority of her shares to Mavin, leaving Mavin still in control of the company.

Seeing his efforts wasted and his brother always winning through underhanded ways, Phupat decides to take extreme measures.

Kaimook mainpulates Phupat

Phupat joins forces with the house staff to kill Mavin. The staff drugs Mavin during a party, and Phupat pushes him into the ocean when they are alone on a boat with Joke.

Phupat ensures that Mavin does not receive the necessary medical attention, leading to Mavin’s death and Phupat finally taking control of the company.

Phupat becomes president, but it comes at a great cost. His wife leaves him, and his daughter, whom he had not allowed to visit Shutter in the hospital, cuts ties with him.

Phupat now wants to sell the company and the house his father worked hard to build to get back at his father for making him miserable all his life.

He then discovers that Mavin had changed their father’s will. In his original will, their father had left everything to Kaimook, who knew about the will all along.

Phupat realizes that Kaimook used his bitterness against his family; she was the one who murdered Roongroj and fabricated evidence against both Mavin and Phupat.

He cannot go to the police, as Kaimook has evidence proving Phupat’s involvement in both Roongroj’s and Mavin’s deaths. Phupat ends up becoming a fugitive.

The mistreated house staff finally gets their revenge on Phupat and his family. Phupat is later killed in a bar by thieves.
