Peter Martin is a biotech start-up founder who joins the Dragon family. Lamorne Morris plays the character.
Ruby introduces Peter Martin to Jackson at the bar because she thinks they will get along. Peter wants to meet Jackson because of his connection to Ellis as he is a superfan.
Jackson is so impressed with Peter that he chooses to work for him but this ultimately leads to Ellis buying Peter’s company, Magma, something Peter wanted all along.
Magma is developing a revolutionary bio-battery but needs Dragon Industries’ funding to survive.
Once Peter joins Dragon, he gets to see first-hand how chaotic it is to work there.
The next visionary
The bio-battery is chosen to be presented at the BioTexpo and Peter is considered as one of the candidates to show it on behalf of Dragon Industries.
He shows great leadership skills during the community retreat and he is also much more grounded than Ellis or Jackson.
Peter finds Anna to be a willing confidante at the company and they occasionally have a drink together and talk about what’s going on at the company.
Luna wants to be the team leader for the battery project but Peter picks Ruby for the position because they are friends and he lacks confidence in Ellis.
After Ellis chooses Peter to present with him, he gets insecure because Peter is getting more attention.
With Ellis’ increasing volatility, Peter is considered a worthy successor to lead the company and when Ellis misses an important board meeting, Anna suggests Peter’s name for interim CEO.
Peter gets death threats from someone named Sydney Grossman and he claims not to know them too well.
Sydney claims that the idea of the battery was stolen from him, but that is not entirely accurate.
Anna is disappointed that Peter lied to her about that but she does let him know how he can make it up to her and regain her trust.
Ellis also shows that he is willing to hand over then reign to Peter and let go of his huge ego.
