Patti: The Consultant character explained

Patti is Craig’s fiance and plays a minor part in Regus Patoff’s revamp of CompWare in The Consultant. The character is played by Aimee Carrero.

Craig is dating Patricia or ‘Patti’ and plans to marry her in a few months but their relationship isn’t the most stable one.

Patti is a devout Christian and has convinced Craig that for them to get married at her church, he needs to get baptized.

Craig isn’t a huge believer but he does push himself to go for catechism classes so that he can be a proper Christian for Patti. But Craig isn’t someone who follows through or takes charge and Patti is a suspicious woman who doesn’t cover herself in glory either.

The jealous lover

Craig initially shows his disinterest in becoming a Christian when he goes out with Regus for a drink. He even makes a joke about her to Elaine that hints at his true feelings.

Patti first shows a sliver of jealousy when she hears that Craig and Elaine hung out with each other. She is aware that Craig and Elaine slept together once before and is quite insecure about it.

Things get worse on the day that Craig goes to visit Frank Florez. He had told Regus that he was sick but he told Patti that he was at work so imagine her surprise when she pops up at work with some food for him as a sweet gesture.

Elaine tries to cover for Craig’s absence at work

She sees Elaine at work who covers for Craig but Patti is already annoyed and tries to head back home. However, her car battery dies and Regus asks her to spend some time with him while they call the mechanic to fix it.

Drastic decisions

Patti knows a little bit about how strange Regus was but during their conversation, he manages to charm her and change her opinion completely. As Craig is learning about Regus’ golden skeleton, Patti sees him struggling with the stairs.

She helps him out due to her experience with disabled people and he is so overjoyed at making it to the top that he kisses her and walks away. She’s taken aback momentarily but then heads home as if nothing happened.

She returns to find Craig wrapped in the covers, still reeling from the shock of being attacked by the masked men. This does help him sell the story that he felt sick but when Patti goes to the kitchen to prepare something for him, she sees an email on his phone containing the uber receipt for his journey to Pomona.

Patti begins to have doubts about Craig while also having strange erotic dreams about Regus. Meanwhile, Regus comes across the surveillance feed on Elaine’s computer and gets a screenshot of her and Craig holding hands.

He sends that to Patti, pushing her over the edge. She dresses up one evening and visits Regus at the office, only to disappear from the face of the earth. A few days later, it is revealed that she is locked away in the records room in some kind of trance as she types diligently.

Patti: The Consultant character explained 2
Patti temporarily becomes one of Regus’ mindless workers

Craig and Elaine find out when Mama Sang sends a message from Patti’s phone to Craig and tells them that she got the phone from Regus. When they confront Regus, he tells them that she was helping him with his job of making this company viable.

Elaine goes to the records room and pulls Patti out of the unexplained trance, and she and Craig go their separate ways amicably after the traumatic event they experience they had together thanks to Regus Patoff.
