Park Jong-Bae is a supporting character and the main antagonist in the rom-com mystery Kdrama, Behind Your Touch.
The friendly neighborhood shaman Mr. Park Jong-Bae is the serial killer who has been terrorizing the town of Chungcheong-Do.
Who seems to be one of the most hilarious and loveably goofy guys in all of the town, turns out to be the one causing the most misery and morose mayhem, while keeping everything under wraps, thanks to his absurd abilities.
The powers be sham’d
Park Jong-Bae is portrayed as an endearing con artist, a livelihood shaman who has little else to do other than to con people.
One can sympathize with him easily given the desperate financial standing of all of Mujin. Where everyone rues the current state of their neighborhood, it’s understandable that people will be forced to resort to shadier things to survive.
At the beginning of Behind Your Touch, his con is called out by Bong Ye-Bun, and he claims that he once used to host the spirit of General MacArthur. However, as many things he says throughout the story, it is also a lie.
His true powers only manifest on the night of the meteor shower, when Ye-Bun and Gwang-Sik also got their powers.
The powers that be
His powers are the same as Ye-Bun and Gwang-Sik, in that he’s also able to peek into other people’s memories. However, his powers differ ever-so-slightly from the other two.
Park Jong-Bae can look into other people’s memories not by touching their butt like Ye-Bun has to, or touching their legs, like Gwang-Sik used to do, but by merely looking into their eyes.

These powers are even more impressive than the ones that Gwang-Sik and Ye-Bun possess since the two had to devise countless reasons for them to use their powers on others. He simply stares at others, making direct eye contact, and voila!
The origins
It all happened in the night when a meteor shower took place in the night sky above Mujin. Bong Ye-Bun had gone to answer a house call by Gwang-Sik, whose cow was having some issues.
Meanwhile, there were other people present at the same time at Gwang-Sik’s farm too. These people were Cha Ju-Man, Kim Seon-Woo, and Park Jong-Bae, who had tumbled down from his hiking trail. He spotted Seon-Woo, who was gone the next moment.
He then stood near the fence and saw Ye-Bun and Gwang-Sik attending to the cow, when a meteor came raining down and with a bright flash it gave all three their powers.
