OnlyForHeroes/Roh Bin: A Killer Paradox character explained

Roh Bin, using the alias OnlyForHeroes, reaches out to Lee Tang when he needs help the most. In A Killer Paradox, Kim Yo-han plays Roh Bin.

Roh Bin, a man obsessed with superheroes, believes that the world is full of trash that needs to be cleaned up by heroes.

He does not view people like Lee Tang as killers but as heroes who punish those deserving of it, which is why he takes Tang under his wing.

Bin’s god complex

Bin lost his parents at a very young age. Bin was in no position to find the robbers who killed his parents and get his revenge.

No one even tried to find the robbers. It was then that Bin decided he wanted to punish people who evade the laws made by humans.

He tries to grow stronger to be a hero but soon realizes that he is weak, so he decides to borrow the strength of others to achieve his aim.

Bin approaches Song Chon, who seems like a hero to him, and asks him to be his partner. Bin becomes his sidekick, guiding him and helping him evade capture.

Soon after, Bin realizes that Song Chon is also evil and reports his crimes to Detective Nan-gam. He gives Nan-gam information about him and asks him to arrest him.

Bin then works with a man named Sang-muk, whose daughter took her own life after being sexually assaulted. Bin helps Sang-muk get his revenge.

While Sang-muk fails, Lee Tang succeeds in killing Sang-muk’s daughter’s perpetrators. Bin’s research tells him that Tang only kills those who deserve it.

When Tang is in desperate need of help, Bin reaches out to him using the alias OnlyForHeroes. Bin gives Tang a place to stay and convinces him to be his partner.

Bin believes that Tang will help him make the world a better place by bringing wrongdoers to justice, almost like they are gods.

Taking responsibility

Bin and Tang work well together. While Tang’s instinct leads him to kill evil people, Bin, a resourceful man, can hack into anything to find out what the police know.

Bin has all the information he needs to keep Tang safe. Due to Bin’s history, Nan-gam suspects him of aiding Tang, and his suspicions are confirmed.

However, Bin outsmarts him. When Nan-gam uses force to question him, Bin live streams the entire ordeal, resulting in the detective’s suspension.

Despite this setback, Nan-gam remains determined to find Tang. Additionally, Bin’s past mistakes come back to haunt him. Song Chon returns, and his return puts Tang in danger.

Bin goes to great lengths to protect Tang, as he believes that Tang is not like Song Chon. He is even prepared to be punished in Tang’s place.

Bin gets Tang a fake passport and arranges for him to flee the country, whereas he himself goes to confront Song Chon, knowing that he is going to die.

To take responsibility for the mess he created by working with Song Chon in the first place, he had planned to take the blame for the murders committed by Tang.

He leaves behind all kinds of incriminating evidence for the police to find after his death, even going as far as altering the shape of his teeth to match the teeth marks left by Tang at a crime scene.

The police are convinced that Bin was Song Chon’s accomplice, and all charges against Tang are dismissed, owing to Bin’s meticulous planning and sacrifice.
