Min Ho: XO, Kitty character explained

Min Ho is one of Dae’s best friends who initially isn’t a fan of Kitty but grows to appreciate her more. The character is played by Sang Heon Lee.

Kitty first encounters Min Ho at the airport where he bumps into her and pretends not to know English. She then meets him at the welcome party where he’s his usual dismissive self toward her.

Min Ho presents himself as a metrosexual guy who takes immaculate care of his skin and is surrounded by girls who want to date him. At the top of the list is Madison Miller who keeps throwing herself at him even though he isn’t interested.

Min Ho’s parents are divorced and he mostly keeps in touch with his mother who is a movie star in Los Angeles. Thanks to her, he has a lot of connections that support his social life.

A story as old as time

Min Ho and Kitty are always at odds with each other but when Min Ho hears about her plan for Chuseok, he offers to help so that she doesn’t dishonor Korean cuisine. He does most of the cooking and they get to know each other better during this time.

He leaves for his date with the famous pop star but isn’t able to show himself thanks to his lactose intolerance that was activated by Kitty’s mashed potatoes. She runs interference for him and he’s grateful for her help.

Min Ho then has an erotic dream about Kitty and tries to suppress that feeling. Meanwhile, he begins dating Madison after her relentless efforts, although once she actually has him, she’s not as interested.

Min Ho realizes that he’s ready for something more serious and ends things with Madison soon after.

When he sees that Dae and Kitty have made up so easily after all the lies he told her, Min Ho feels jealous and angry. He tells Dae that he wouldn’t treat someone that he truly cared about that way.

Dae begins to doubt whether Min Ho has feelings for Kitty and when she says that she’s fallen for someone else, he assumes that it is him and confronts Min Ho.
