Plot summary

Roongroj, the president of Theva Gems, is a billionaire who is not loved by either of his sons. His sons care for him not out of love but because they want to be chosen as his heir.

His older son, Phupat, is married to Padcha and has a daughter named Kita. His younger son, Mavin, is married to Araya and has a son named Shutter.

The Thevasatitpaisaran family gathers for Roongroj’s birthday, and much to everyone’s surprise, Roongroj marries his personal housemaid, Kaimook, right then and there.

Phupat is angry with Roongroj because he gives Phupat’s mother’s necklace to Kaimook, while Mavin is angry because Roongroj fires him.

That very night, Roongroj dies after falling from the balcony, and Kaimook suspects that he was murdered. Despite Kaimook’s insistence, the police rule his death an accident.

Mavin and Araya try to make Kaimook leave, but she continues to stay at the mansion because she wants to uncover the truth about Roongroj’s death.

Phupat and Mavin have always competed to be their father’s heir, and as soon as Roongroj dies, they start making moves against each other.

Phupat tries to remove his brother from the company board but fails, while Mavin threatens his father’s lawyer’s family and gets the will changed.

The lawyer then reads out the will that Mavin has provided, resulting in Mavin inheriting everything while Phupat is left with nothing. Mavin then removes Phupat from the company board.

Meanwhile, the Thevasatitpaisaran family continues to mistreat their house help. Mavin has been sleeping with a housemaid named Kaew, whose boyfriend, Tian, also works for the family.

When Kaew gets pregnant, she begs Mavin to let her keep the baby, but he forces her to abort it, even though it is not known whose baby it is. Tian, believing that the baby was his, blames Tian for his loss.

Kita makes Bee, the housemaid responsible for taking care of her pet, design clothes for her fashion line and takes credit for them. When her friends discover the truth, she vents her anger by injuring Bee.

Kita is not the only one who physically hurts and deprives the house help of basic human dignity; Araya does the same.

Araya also publicly humiliates Kaimook, who decides that she does not want to be part of the family but live in the house as a housemaid.

The unfair treatment finally gets to Bee, and she decides to expose the affair between Kita and Shutter, who are both deprived of their fathers’ love.

Mavin finds out that Bee exposed Kita and Shutter’s affair and punishes her by keeping her in a cage with animals and torturing her, forcing the other housemaids to watch.

Apart from Bee, Tian also retaliates, beating up Shutter and mortally injuring him to get revenge on Mavin for forcing Kaew to get an abortion.

Mavin finds out about Tian’s involvement in his son’s injuries and threatens his brother, Joke, who is Bee’s boyfriend, to kill Tian. To save Joke, Tian takes his own life.

This turns all the Thevasatitpaisaran employees against Mavin. Kaimook then approaches Phupat with evidence that incriminates Mavin in his father’s death.

Phupat takes it to the police, but Mavin uses his power and influence to get the case closed. He also fires his brother from the company and kicks him out of the house.

When Phupat’s plan to obtain Araya’s shares in exchange for saving Shutter’s life and taking over the company fails, he joins forces with the house help to kill his brother.

During a party thrown by Mavin, the house help drug him. Phupat then accompanies his brother on a boat driven by Joke when Mavin goes to set off the firecrackers.

Phupat throws a drugged Mavin into the ocean and then asks Joke to blow up the boat, making Mavin’s death look like an accident.

Ending explained:

The winner who lost everything

Now that Mavin is dead, Phupat believes that he can easily take over the company, as there are no more obstacles in his way. While he gains control of the company, he loses his family.

Padcha, who always loved and supported Phupat without receiving any love or respect in return, now wants a divorce since Phupat has achieved everything he wanted.

Phupat not only fails as a husband but also as a father. He does not allow his daughter to visit Shutter in the hospital and sends her abroad, leaving no room for reconciliation.

Phupat hated his father, so he now wants to sell the company and the house his father worked so hard to build. He starts negotiating with a rival brand.

It is then that his father’s lawyer tells him about Mavin altering the will. The lawyer shows him the real will, and Phupat finds out that his father left everything to Kaimook.

Additionally, Kaimook knew about the will from the very beginning but never said anything, suggesting a larger scheme in play.

Why did Kaimook kill Roongroj?

A flashback reveals Kaimook’s story. Even during her job interview at the Thevasatitpaisaran mansion, she was not afforded basic human dignity.

After getting the job, Kaimook works hard and eventually catches Roongroj’s eye. He is the only person who is kind to her.

However, she soon realizes that Roongroj is just like the rest when he calls her to the greenhouse one night and sexually assaults her.

She then discovers that Roongroj has also been assaulting a housemaid named Dao, whom Kaimook hears sobbing every night. Dao eventually takes her own life.

Initially, Kaimook decides to escape, but once she finds a way out of the mansion, she decides to stay and seek justice for all the people who have been wronged by the Thevasatitpaisaran family.

Kaimook then pretends to be loyal to Roongroj. She promises to give him a son who will not only be a worthy heir but also obedient to him.

This leads to Roongroj marrying Kaimook and leaving everything he owns to her. Then, on the night of the wedding, Kaimook drugs him. Roongroj hallucinates and falls to his death.

The revenge of the oppressed

Phupat realizes that Kaimook was behind his father’s death, but he has no way of proving her crime. Everything went according to Kaimook’s plan.

She now intends to claim that Phupat and Mavin together killed their father for control of the company, with Phupat drugging him and Mavin pushing him off the balcony.

Then, Mavin altered the will, so Phupat used the same drug to kill Mavin. Kaimook has proof against him: Joke recorded Phupat pushing Mavin into the ocean.

The house help has been working with Kaimook all along, allowing her to know everything that went on in the house and plan accordingly.

Phupat now has two choices: he can either turn himself in or deny his crimes. However, regardless of his choice, the evidence will prove his guilt.

Phupat is cornered by the house help. They all finally take their revenge for everything that the family has put them through.

Phupat then becomes a fugitive. Eventually, he is mugged and killed. Padcha attempts to mend her relationship with Kita, but all her efforts fail.

Despite getting a heart transplant, Shutter does not survive. After losing her husband and son, Araya resorts to acting to make money.

Meanwhile, Kaimook becomes the owner of the mansion and everything that Roongroj owned. She now lives a life of luxury and comfort with the rest of the house help who aided her.
