Katie hires Louis Lewis to protect her, only to be betrayed by him later. In Jackpot!, Simu Liu plays Louis Lewis.
When Noel realizes that he cannot protect Katie, the lottery winner, on his own, he seeks help from his former partner, Louis.
Unlike Noel, who works alone, Louis owns the Lewis Protection Agency, which is equipped with advanced technology, a trained staff, and an impenetrable facility, making it far better suited to protect Katie.
Katie’s new protection agent
When Noel calls Louis for help, Louis immediately launches a phone strike, allowing Katie and Noel to escape the crowd trying to kill Katie.
Louis’ guards escort them to his agency, where Katie meets Louis. She tells him that she intends to quit the lottery to save herself.
However, Louis convinces her to hire his agency to protect her instead of quitting, as only a few hours remain until sundown, which marks the end of the lottery.
Katie considers his offer because his agency has the highest success rate in the city, even though Louis’ agency has not been hired by lottery winners in a while.
Katie is ready to hire his agency and pay them thirty percent of her winnings, but she insists that Noel receive a share of that commission.
Although Louis clearly dislikes Noel and leaves no chance to insult him, he uncharacteristically agrees to Katie’s terms, and Katie becomes his client.
A master of betrayal
Louis and Noel used to work together. They were mercenaries who were deployed on various missions around the world.
When Noel discovered that some of their targets were innocent people, he wanted to quit. He tried to convince Louis to do the same, but Louis refused.
Noel did not show up for their next mission, during which Louis and the rest of the team raided a family guarding gold worth millions of dollars.
Louis did not want to share the spoils with the rest of the team, so he killed them. He then led Noel to believe that their team was killed by the family’s guards.
While Louis became a rich man, Noel blamed himself for his team’s deaths, believing that they died because he was not there to help them.
Louis has continued betraying those who trust him. He now kills his own clients to claim the entire prize money, rather than the thirty percent commission for protecting them.
The reason Louis’ agency has had no recent clients is that he killed them, claimed their prize money, and kept his identity anonymous.
He plans to kill Katie as well, but Noel figures out his plans and foils them. While Katie manages to escape, Louis takes Noel captive to force Katie to comply with his demands.
However, Katie outsmarts him by threatening to take her own life. She then uses Louis’ mini grenades to kill him, proving herself to be the true friend to Noel that Louis never was.
