Liza Barrel: Captain Fall character explained

Liza Barrel is one of the highest-ranking lieutenants of Mr. Tyrant’s cartel who is constantly tasked with ensuring Jonathan Fall doesn’t find out what they do. The character is voiced by Lesley-Ann Brandt.

Liza’s role in the crew is of activities coordinator but she and Pedro are effectively the leaders of the crew who enact Mr. Tyrant’s orders. She has a twisted mind and is prone to violence as evidenced on multiple occasions.

However, she does have a softer side, and spending time with Jonathan brings that out occasionally. Liza pretends to be in a relationship with Jonathan to hold up their facade as a legitimate crew and his personality gradually grows on her.

Mercenary with a few vulnerabilities

The first sign of Liza’s violent nature is when she visits the recruitment center and Pedro asks her to keep it quiet. She ends up killing everyone inside and having to burn the place down to get rid of the evidence.

When a thug falls asleep on the job and allows one of the tribals to escape, Liza tortures and dismembers him as punishment, just as Jonathan comments on how he thinks that she is such a pure soul who wouldn’t hurt a fly.

Liza does express momentary concern when Mr. Tyrant forces her to be involved in a deal that exploits albinos but she has no choice but to participate. When Hans and Gunther are slacking off, she brutally beats up Hans to send a message to them.

Liza Barrel grew close to Jonathan Fall and used it simultaneously

She plays along with Jonathan’s wishes and agrees to be his girlfriend but during a visit to his home, she realizes how tough he has had it growing up and stands up for him. She threatens Tanner when he makes a move on her and forces him to be nice to Jonathan.

She does admit to Pedro later on that he is a means to an end, and during the single’s cruise, she hopes to fool around with some of the eligible bachelors but is robbed of the opportunity by Jonathan.
