Linn, Tore’s best friend in TORE, tries to help Tore after his father’s death, but her efforts end up causing a rift between them. Sanna Sundqvist plays Linn.
Linn and Tore are more like family than friends. Tore’s father, Bosse, treats Linn like his daughter, and Linn’s children adore Tore. Although Linn and Tore are best friends, they are very different from each other.
While Linn is a mother to two children, Tore has yet to move out of his father’s house. He has not had any of the experiences that other people his age do, so Linn and Bosse keep trying to convince Tore to move out of his father’s house, go on dates, and see the world.
Drifting apart
When Tore loses his father, Linn tries to be there for him, but Tore has been avoiding his own feelings and refuses to talk to Linn about his father’s death. Linn knows that Tore is avoiding her, but she still visits him and brings him food as often as she can.
Linn keeps pushing until Tore stops by her house to meet her son, Alfred, who loves Tore. She even convinces Tore to stay back for a while and talk to her. However, Tore overhears Linn telling Alfred that Tore is scared and lonely.
Linn thinks she needs to take care of Tore because he does not have anyone else. Tore comes to know what his best friend thinks of him and leaves without talking to her. He goes to a club to meet men, something that Linn always tried to get him to do.
The next day, Linn and Alfred find Tore injured in his garden. Linn panics, thinking that he is dead, but she manages to wake him up and treat his wounds. Linn grows increasingly worried about Tore, but he keeps pushing her away, which results in them growing apart.
Tore is not bothered about them drifting apart. He just wants Linn to give him space. Linn is worried that Tore will end up killing himself, so instead of giving him space, she calls him to her room and pretends to be dead. This time, it is Tore who panics.
Linn then tells him that she pretended to be dead to make Tore feel what she felt when she found him in his garden. This infuriates Tore, who ends up saying hurtful things to Linn and gets slapped by her in return.
Tore is still angry with her, so he tells Shady Meat and her friend that Linn is a homophobe and goes to egg Linn’s house with them. This is the final straw, and Linn finally gives up on their friendship.
The strongest bond
When Erik hurts Tore, he goes to Linn’s house. He apologizes to Linn and allows himself to cry about everything. Linn forgives him easily and comforts him. She even takes him to his father’s grave.
Linn knew about Bosse’s relationship and his plans to replace Tore at work. While she tells Tore why Bosse kept all this from him, she also insults Bosse to appease Tore.
As they are back to being best friends, Tore has Linn’s unconditional support. She even helps him get MJ back by stealing the dog from its new owners. Despite everything that has happened, Linn and Tore continue to be family.
