Is Layan dead in AlRawabi School for Girls season 2?

In AlRawabi School for Girls season 2, Layan’s name appears from time to time, haunting the people who know her fate.

In season 1, the fact that Layan has been bunking school surprises Layan’s family. To make matters worse, Mariam plans to send Layan’s brother, Hazem, Layan’s location and tell him that she is with her boyfriend.

Despite knowing how bad it could be for Layan, Mariam sends the location, considering how much Layan and her friends tortured her at school.

Hazem finds Layan and beats her boyfriend up. He holds Layan at gunpoint in tears. A gunshot is heard, but the fate of Layan is not disclosed.

While Mariam shows no remorse for her actions, Rania cries, as she, Dina, and Noaf stare at Mariam, who feels victorious.

Layan’s fate in season 2

Layan’s fate haunts the second season of AlRawabi School for Girls. Her name appears when Sarah chooses the desk she will be sitting on, which has “LAYAN WAS HERE” scribbled on it.

The scene hints at a similar trajectory for the second season’s lead character. The same words appear again when Sarah and Tasneem escape the school, and the fence they escape through has a cloth with these words.

Ms. Abeer, too, is reminded of Layan when she sees Sarah on Layan’s desk. However, it’s the fourth episode that confirms Layan died at the hands of her brother.

The students from the past season, Rania, Dina, and Noaf, as well as Mariam, and Ms. Abeer reunite to remember Layan. Rania even sees Layan while she is singing a song for her.

Hazem is seen crossing paths with Sarah’s brother, Jawad, in the courtroom, confirming that he had been arrested for killing his sister because she brought disgrace to their family.
