Brady starts dating a woman named Lark after his breakup with Brie, but Lark is not as nice and harmless as Brady thinks. In Virgin River, Lark is played by Elise Gatien.
In the fifth season, when a wildfire that has been spreading across California reaches Virgin River, Brady and Jack meet the people living in a camp and convince them to evacuate. Lark and her six-year-old daughter Hazel also live in that camp.
When Brady risks his life to rescue Hazel, he becomes a hero for Lark. Brady and Lark, who are both going through a hard time, grow close and find a dependable partner in each other.
Brady’s new family
After leaving the camp, Lark has nowhere to go, so she starts living in one of Jack’s trailers. Brady is reluctant to let her stay there, as he knows that Melissa, Jack’s partner, is using his glamping business for illegal activities. However, Brady cannot do much about it when Jack allows her to live there.
Brady develops a close relationship with Lark and Hazel, as he is kind to both of them. Brady, Hazel, and Lark begin spending a lot of time together; they are almost like a family. Brady and Lark even tell each other about their pasts and dysfunctional families.
Lark makes it evident that she likes Brady, but because Brady has just broken up with Brie, he is hesitant to jump into a new relationship. However, as Lark understands him and supports him when he needs it the most, Brady starts dating her.
With Brady’s help, Lark gets a job at the local B&B and a roof over her head. Brady turns out to be a good boyfriend to Lark and an even better role model to Hazel. It is quite evident that they are a family now.
Although Brady is very happy with Lark, he is still in love with Brie. As Brady has helped her change her life for the better, Lark insists that he meet her mother, and Brady does not refuse.
It is then revealed that Hazel’s father is Jimmy, Calvin’s right-hand man. Some time ago, Brady landed in deep water when he got involved in Calvin’s drug business. Jimmy is in prison now, but he is not done with Brady.
Jimmy is planning something, and that is why Lark started dating Brady; she informs Jimmy that Brady does not suspect anything. It is possible that Lark does not have feelings for Brady, and because of her, Brady might find himself in trouble once again.
