Kevin Jackson: Mayor of Kingstown character explained

Kevin Jackson is a young, new guard at the Kingstown prison. Denny Love plays the character.

There are a host of new recruits at the Kingstown prison and Kevin Jackson is one of them. Captain Kareem takes Kevin under his wing because he is a young black man who needs guidance.

Kevin is a plant sent in by Bunny, and he reports to Bunny about whatever is happening in the prison.

When one of the crips is stabbed in the yard, Kevin goes to provide medical attention but no one else rushes to his aid immediately.

Kareem tells him that he must not put himself in a vulnerable position like that again to help an inmate.

Embedding himself

Kevin is helpless when Carney is isolated and beaten up by the other guards who are from the Aryan Brotherhood.

He keeps his head down when Bunny’s men attack the prison in an attempt to kill Merle Callahan.

He doesn’t raise any suspicions but Kareem keeps a watchful eye over him to ensure he remains sane while serving at the prison.

Bunny tells Kevin to use his position and throw the scent onto someone else for the attack because the Crips are the obvious suspects initially.
