Kelleran Beq is a Jedi Master responsible for the rescue of Grogu during Order 66. The character is portrayed by Ahmed Best.

Kelleran Beq is a Jedi Master dedicated to teaching younglings at the Jedi Temple. He is played by Ahmed Best, a man best known for his portrayal of the polarising Jar Jar Binks in the original trilogy.

After playing a character that has spawned countless memes, fan theories, and ridicule, Best got the opportunity to play a Jedi Master in Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge, a children’s gameshow on the Star Wars Kids website and YouTube channel in 2020.

In the game show, Beq is assisted by his droid companion AD-3, voiced by Mary Holland, and the astromech droid LX-R5.

A daring rescue

In Grgou’s vision, he’s being escorted by 4 Jedi but all of them are shot down by the clones as he is placed into an elevator. When the elevator reaches its destination, the doors open to reveal the Jedi Master Kelleran Beq.

He assures Grogu that he will get the youngling to safety with the help of some friends and grabs the lightsaber of a fallen Jedi. Wielding two blades, Beq holds off several clones as they make their way to a speeder.

The duo make their escape through the hustle and bustle of Coruscant

He weaves through Coruscant as the clones pursue and shoot out the engines. He manages to make it to a landing platform where a troop of Naboo Armed Forces holds back the incoming clones and helps Beq and Grogu leave on their ship.

Beq and Grogu safely escape the planet as Grogu’s vision ends.
