Jeong Man-Sik: Marry My Husband character explained

Jeong Man-Sik, a supporting character in Marry My Husband, is the father of antagonist Jeong Su-Min. Moon Jung Dae plays the character.

Jeong Su-Min has leeched off Kang Ji-Won all her life, stealing away from her everything and everyone she suspects brings her happiness.

She remains one insidious soul who hates Ji-Won with every fiber of her being.

The recent episodes of Marry My Husband reveal a character who played a significant role in her turning out to be the person she is — her father, Jeong Man-Sik.

Defining traits

Jeong Man-Sik doesn’t know how to do things properly. He slacks and errs with an astonishing trait, not seeing things through to their ends.

He is also not one to keep his promises, which are quite tall. No matter who he promises what, though, he can’t be trusted to keep them, ever.

Su-Min is well aware of her father’s incompetence and failure to keep promises, and she hates him for it.

It’s also one of the reasons she grew to hate Ji-Won, who had a loving and present father. He never really loved her or cared for her.

Consistent loser

Hee Sook chose Man-Sik, leaving her husband who drove a lorry for the one she deemed richer.

However, decades later, she’s still struggling with her livelihood.

In the present day, Man-Sik is in heavy debt and his restaurant isn’t doing great. Hee Sook lives with him and the two lead a struggling life.

When the opportunity comes knocking, which is to kill Ji-Won for millions of won, Man-Sik can’t even do that.

He goes to ram her car with a dump truck but fails to contend with Ji-Hyuk, who drives in between the two vehicles.

He runs out of the location in a flash and hides with his wife until he’s given an offer to lay low in China, which his greedy self takes up very quickly.
