Jeon So-Ra is a major supporting character in Doctor Cha who’s a third-year resident at Gusan University Hospital and the secret affair of Jeong-Suk’s son, Seo Jung-Min.
Jeon So-Ra is a third-year medical resident at Gusan University Hospital and is in a relationship with first-year resident Seo Jung-Min and they both keep a secret from others at the hospital.
Ever since Jung-Min’s mother’s arrival at the hospital, her crude and confident personality often clashes and dominates the fierce but restrained personality of Jeong-Suk.
Fiercely competent
Dr. Jeon is one of the most competent individuals at the Gusan University Hospital.
In her third year as a medical resident, she scored the top marks and cleared her exams with flying colors.
It’s her competence that also makes Jung-Min and Jeong-Suk both swallow their pride while they get a telling-off from her, as Jeon So-Ra is most often than not right about the discipline that different clinical practices require.
A blunt force
Jeon So-Ra doesn’t mince her words, nor decrease the volume when she gives someone an earful. Jeong-Suk’s rookie errors and her son’s mistakes all receive loud verbal admonishments from her.
Dr. Jeon isn’t hesitant about giving it straight in front of other people too. The harshness of her words is not only inherent in what she’s talking about but also present in the style with which she delivers it.
Meanwhile, she’s a force to be reckoned with during the lighter, more social moments. She catches on to Jeong-Suk acting suspiciously intimate with her boyfriend, not knowing that they’re mother and son and soon begins a subtle and passive-aggressive tug-of-war with the middle-aged first-year resident.
Jeong-Suk often finds herself helpless and out of options in terms of how to respond when Jeon is either too rude to Jung-Min, or too close and controlling with him.
Cautious & controlling
Jeon So-Ra is often very quick at sniffing suspiciousness. She employs her ability to sus out the weird dynamic between Jeong-Suk and Jung-Min.
Meanwhile, she’s also rather controlling in her relationship with Jung-Min, often treating him with playful teases which he does seem to enjoy, albeit with not-so-serious objections to it.
Jeon So-Ra does pick up on the wisdom and unique empathetic attitude which Jeong-Suk employs in her practice but she remains a bit cold and cautious with her.
