In Blood Vessel, Igor is the mobster who owns the ship that Oyin, Abbey, Olotu, Tekena, Boma, and Degbe board to escape Nembe. Alex Cyr Budin plays Igor.
Igor is into transporting stolen crude to other places. He is a very powerful businessman with connections everywhere. In the film, his ship is stopped by the authorities. Sometimes his money does the talking or his connections protect him, allowing him to continue his journey.
Oyin, Abbey, Olotu, Tekena, Boma, and Degbe don’t know what kind of person owns the boat they are on. It’s only when Igor finds most of them and kills Degbe that the rest of them are put on alert.
Mr. Perekemi, also known as Mr. P, who helped these six board the ship secretly, denies that he helped any of them. Hence, Igor suspects all of them to be spies and starts taking them out one by one.
Igor’s viciousness
Igor is quite harsh towards his captives and plays games when he desires to kill them. When Boma accidentally kills his sister, who is on the ship with him, he makes sure to enjoy killing Boma.
Igor used to go on hunting trips with his father as a boy. He was bad at it but good at skinning meat, and that’s what he does with Boma’s body after taking him out.
When it comes to the brothers Olotu and Tekena, he makes them fight each other to the death if one of them wants to live and be free. Olotu sacrifices himself for Tekena. Igor does let Tekena go, but by shooting his leg and pushing him into the water.
Igor’s fate
To lure Abbey, who is the only one dodging Igor and hiding, out, he threatens to kill Abbey’s girlfriend, Oyin. Even when Abbey comes out, Igor kills Oyin without showing any mercy.
Only Abbey manages to survive Igor and kill Igor in the end. Abbey and the original captain of the ship get rid of Igor and his soldiers’ bodies. Abbey discovers Igor’s money on the ship and gives it to the families of Oyin, Olotu, Tekena, Boma, and Degbe.
