Hong Soo-Cheol: Queen of Tears character explained

Hong Soo-Cheol is a main roster character in the romantic comedy series, Queen of Tears. Kwak Dong-Yeon plays the character in the show.

Hong Soo-Cheol is the younger brother of Hong Hae-In.

He’s the dearest of mother, who has been estranged from her daughter somewhat after a tragic incident years ago, and dotes over her son almost exclusively.

Spoiled brat

Soo-Cheol is then, naturally, a spoiled brat who overestimates his own talents and tact, thanks to his hubris.

Meanwhile, he is not that fond of his sister, although he doesn’t have any genuine bad blood with her.

Hong Soo-Cheol is the CEO of Queens Mart who seeks to strengthen his grasp on the business and exceed his sister’s success so that he doesn’t lose out to her.

An endangered fool

He desperately needs Yoon Eun-Sung’s money as an investment in his endeavor.

However, paying no attention to the risks involved and other necessities is not ideal, and so his plans are put on hold.

Meanwhile, he is oblivious to the fact that Yoon Eun-Sung is not a savior but a foe eying the destruction of the Queens family.

He’s also oblivious to his wife, the seemingly ideal housewife with a charming personality. He thinks of her as this innocent little woman who entertains no vices.

In reality, Cheon Da-Hye drinks behind his back and is in cohorts with Yoon Eun-Sung, working against the family.
