In My Life With the Walter Boys, Hayley is Will’s fiancée. When she realizes that her goals and Will’s goals do not match, she breaks up with him. Hayley is played by Zoë Soul.
Hayley, a grad student, is engaged to Will. They are in love and wish to get married. However, they do not have the money for that. Hayley’s parents refuse to pay for the wedding, as they think Hayley and Will are too young.
Hayley doesn’t mind getting married a few years later, but Will is unwilling to wait. Even Will’s parents cannot help them pay for the wedding, so he decides to find a way to make extra cash and save for the wedding, which creates problems in their relationship.
Parting ways with the one you love
Will doesn’t make much as a real estate agent, so when he considers changing his career, Hayley suggests that he pursue something that makes him happy. Will then starts working part-time at the Lark, the cafe where Hayley works.
Working at the Lark makes Will realize what he truly wants to do: own his own business. He starts coming up with new ideas and implementing them at the Lark. His ideas are great, and his hard work and dedication impress his boss.
However, this leaves Will no time for Hayley, who has to make time for school as well. Hayley and Will have a lot on their plate, and Hayley does not like the fact that they no longer have time for each other.
On top of that, Will does not involve her in his decisions and then lies to her to work on holidays. For the first time in his life, Will feels excited about all the ideas that he has, but he thinks that Hayley does not understand him.
This creates problems in their relationship. While Will wants to work hard to make money for their future, Hayley wants to enjoy her life. Hayley then realizes that she and Will want different things in life, so she breaks up with him.
Finding their way back to each other
Despite breaking up, Hayley still shows up to help Will and his family when Nathan is taken to the hospital. After dating Will for years, it is not easy for Hayley to move on.
Hayley takes her best friend’s advice and goes to talk to Will about their relationship. After their breakup, Will realized that Hayley is more important to him than any job. He now wants to give their relationship a second chance.
They are both ready to put in the effort to make their relationship work. Hayley wants to get married to Will as soon as possible because she can no longer wait to start their lives together. They decide to have a ranch wedding.
Hayley’s parents eventually support her decision. Hayley and Will get married, but the season’s ending hints that trouble awaits. Hayley receives a message from someone named Morgan and lies to Will about it. Who Morgan is and what Hayley is hiding from Will will only be revealed in the next season.
