George’s hidden relic in Silo explained

In the sixth episode of Silo, Regina Jackson, George’s ex-lover, gives Juliette a relic that George’s family has been hiding for generations.

When Juliette confronts Regina for ratting George out, Regina confesses that she didn’t tell Judicial about George; she only talked to the man who comes at night. He knows everything and everyone in Silo.

This man threatened to kill Regina’s family members if she didn’t give him the names of every relic dealer out there. Regina also likes to think that George is dead because he didn’t give up the hard drive he had gotten.

Apparently, George had gone above and beyond to get this hard drive. He had offered Regina a relic that could wreak havoc in Silo just to get his hands on this drive.

A relic from before the Silo

Regina gives Juliette George’s relic. It was given to George by his Aunt Gloria as a gift from his mother. It is a relic passed down and hidden for generations. Regina likes to think that Judicial or whoever out there is running Silo doesn’t even know that this exists.

Regina’s house was searched, but they weren’t able to discover this. Regina says that this relic is from before Silo, and Juliette should keep her mouth shut about this because this relic will get her killed.

Juliette brings this relic back home. Inside the bag, she finds a book named Amazing Adventures in Georgia

It is a travel guide for kids and is filled with pictures of forests, people rafting, animals, beaches, and a lot more. Everything inside this book is new to Juliette; she has never seen these things before.

It is then revealed that someone is watching Juliette. Two men in a room full of computers are watching the people of Silo through cameras. They are worried about what Juliette has discovered and decide to wake up their boss.

Why is George’s hidden relic a big threat?

Since the rebellion, the people of Silo have been prohibited from accessing their history. Most of the stuff is claimed to have been destroyed by the rebels. If the residents come across certain relics related to their history, they should return these items to the Judicial.

By keeping their own history away from the residents, the officials at Silo are making sure that another rebellion won’t take place and that people will not try to open the gates of Silo and kill the people living here.

In the first episode, it is revealed that whoever is running Silo isn’t allowing smart people like Allison to have babies. They want obedient people who will do what they are told. Hence, people like George who ask questions are killed.

The relic Juliette has gives her a glimpse of what the outside world looks like. This will make her question if what they are being shown is true or not.

If the whole Silo finds out about it, there will be chaos everywhere like never before. The people watching the Silo don’t want that, and this relic contains more than enough information about the outside world.
