Plot summary
Rajat and Ishita and Anusha and Pandu have been doing great in their respective relationships.
Since the board exams are approaching, Rajat has set up a timetable for himself with a set time for when he will talk to Ishita, and the plan is working.
At the same time, Rajat is worried because he and Ishita have patched up at a time when couples usually break up because of board exams.
If Rajat can’t focus on his studies, he may not pass the exams and get admission into a good college.
Anusha, on the other hand, is convincing her family to let her pursue journalism. However, they think it’s not worth it.
Pandu’s future depends on Anusha, as he dreams of being her cameraman. If he can’t find a goal for himself, his father will forcefully hand him their business.
Meanwhile, Kaushal sir is now working for the Guidance Institute of Excellence. Many of his students from Sunshine Coaching Center have joined Guidance just for Kaushal sir’s classes.
At Guidance, there are more students, the fee is costly, and Kaushal sir has a great salary too.
Rajat, Ishita, Pandu, and Anusha navigate their relationships through the tough times. Anusha and Pandu even fall apart once when the latter isn’t there to comfort her when she needs him the most.
Ishita is keeping from Rajat her desire to leave Delhi and pursue further studies at Mumbai University. She is aware of how Rajat will react. Hence, she is taking her time to tell him.
Kaushal sir learns that not all of his students understand what is being taught at Guidance since every period lasts for 50 minutes and the students have many doubts.
When he brings up the idea of holding extra classes for the students in front of Jaydeep Makhija, who runs Guidance, Jaydeep looks at this concern from a business perspective.
They can’t hold extra classes, as it would mean their regular classes are not enough. Jaydeep, instead, comes up with a crash course for the students.
Kaushal sir isn’t a fan of this idea, but he eventually finds a way to address the doubts of a student. He makes a video explaining a problem and sends it to that student.
The video is shared from one student to another and makes its way to the internet. Kaushal sir sees this as a solution to his students’ problems and starts uploading videos on the internet, something Jaydeep won’t appreciate.
When their juniors fail to hold a proper farewell, Anusha and Pandu organize their own. At the farewell party, Ishita lets Rajat know about her plans to go to Mumbai.
At first, Rajat says he is happy for her, but when they try a ten-day long-distance relationship due to pre-boards, Rajat struggles.
Rajat says he doesn’t want Ishita to go, which makes Ishita wonder whether he was really happy when he said he supported her decision to go to Mumbai.
Ishita claims that Rajat only cares about their relationship and not what she wants from life.
In return, Rajat questions Ishita about whether she is feeling bad about leaving him or not. Ishita expected that Rajat would make her compromise and force her to stay, but she isn’t willing to change her decision.
Ishita’s decision haunts Rajat during pre-board exams, resulting in him failing the exam, whereas Pandu scores a solid 58%. Rajat pours out his frustration on his best friend, Pandu.
Meanwhile, Ishita also has to rethink her decision to go to Mumbai, as her father doesn’t get a transfer.
Ending explained:
Ishita and Rajat reconcile
Rajat expects his parents to scold him for failing the pre-board exams. However, they are both calm about it because scolding will only make Rajat more scared.
They also help him understand that he failed only because of his mistakes, not Ishita, and it’s up to him to rectify those. He will have to work hard and score better to get enrolled in a good college.
Since Ishita won’t be leaving for Mumbai, she also thought about everything she said to Rajat. She wants to speak to him but doesn’t have the courage.
Ishita’s best friend, Batri, agrees that both of them are at fault. He tells Ishita that either they can keep wallowing in guilt or patch up.
Hence, Ishita and Rajat eventually call each other and begin talking the way they used to.
Kaushal sir’s future
Jaydeep threatens Kaushal sir to take down his videos. Kaushal sir doesn’t hold back. His students also support him, resulting in Kaushal sir’s firing.
While Kaushal sir is busy looking for jobs somewhere else, he is visited by Pandu, Anusha, and his other students.
Pandu’s father is filled with joy because his son has scored 58%, all thanks to Kaushal sir. Hence, Pandu’s father is willing to let Kaushal sir use his warehouse to teach students.
If that’s not enough, the students also present a new banner for Sunshine Coaching Center. With that, Sunshine Coaching Center is revived.
Anusha and Pandu’s fate
Anusha and Pandu tried to save their favorite momos stall that was asked to be vacated if the owner couldn’t register, pay, and open a permanent shop.
They tried to do so by making a video showing the antics of the committee that forced and threatened these small-time businessmen. Anusha acted as a journalist in the video.
Though the video didn’t do wonders, the owner of the momos stall got a chance to reopen his stall outside Sunshine Coaching Center, and the video also reached Anusha’s brother, who may finally allow her to pursue journalism.
Ishita leaves for Mumbai
Ishita’s father indulges in a heart-to-heart conversation with his daughter. He doesn’t want Ishita to not live her life because of him.
Hence, on her father’s request, Ishita decides to leave for Mumbai on her own. Rajat knows that she is leaving. He holds an adorable date for the two of them.
Both of them envision what will happen a year later. Rajat is writing a poem, a habit he has cultivated, and Ishita surprises him from behind.
It is hinted that this projected future comes true. In the present, Rajat reads the poem he has recently written to Ishita.
