Firecracker: The Boys character explained

Firecracker is a new member of The Seven who has a personal grudge against Annie January. Valorie Curry plays the character.

Firecracker is a supe on YouTube who pedals conspiracy theories and appeals to the pro-supe public.

Sister Sage reaches out to her at a convention to recruit her to Homelander’s cause. Sage asks to see her powers and what she’s “selling” to her countless followers.

Firecracker has minor pyrotechnic abilities and can create sparks from her fingers. She also keeps a gun by her side and relies on it in times of danger.

She tells Sage that she is offering a purpose to people at the lowest rung of society who feel abandoned and vilified in the modern world.

An intense vendetta

Her first test is to kill Mother’s Milk, Frenchie, and Kimiko in a trap set by Sage. She and another supe named Splinter take them on before Butcher joins in.

They kill Splinter but Firecracker gets away. She is later announced as a member of The Seven along with Sister Sage, and Sage insists she is exactly what they need.

She specifically attacks Starlight with harsh words and Annie visits her to find out why. Firecracker says that they were on the same pageant circuit when she went by ‘Sparkler’.

She and Annie were the finalists but Annie spread a terrible rumor that she slept her way to the finals and she was never able to live it down.

Ever since then, Firecracker developed an intense hatred for Annie and made it her mission to tarnish Annie’s name and bring her down.
