Fatoş’s fate in 10 Days of a Bad Man explained

In 10 Days of a Bad Man, the life Sadık and Fatoş dreamt of comes close to being their reality. However, Sadık’s bad luck plays its part again.

Sadık, Fatoş, and Meral move to Eskisehir. After retiring from prostitution, Fatoş doesn’t want to live with Sadık if they aren’t married. She is traditional, so they got married.

Meral, who jokingly adopted Sadık as her son, has a house left to her by an ex-lover. With a good sum of money in their hands, all three of them turned that house into a hotel.

Sadık’s bad luck strikes

Fatoş dreams of being in a managerial position. While Fatoş takes her high school exams, Sadık supports her by enrolling in an open undergraduate program.

For Fatoş, Sadık quits a lot of things, including being cold, drinking, and smoking. He replaces those bad habits with reading literature and philosophy. Fatoş soon gets pregnant, and they expect a girl.

Sadık fights Fatoş’s father

Fatoş used to talk a lot about her mother. She was very fond of her and missed her. Fatoş grew apart from her family because of her job as a prostitute. Her mother was buried in the village of Tosya.

Sadık makes a sudden decision to bury Fatoş and their daughter next to Fatoş’s mother. However, Fatoş’s father shows up out of nowhere and protests against it.

He abuses Fatoş and warns Sadık not to bury Fatoş next to his wife. Sadık does his best to convince Fatoş’s father, who doesn’t listen and forces Sadık to fight back.

Sadık breaks Fatoş’s father’s legs for disrespecting his wife. Sadık is then attacked by Fatoş’s brother-in-law, who had accompanied Fatoş’s father. Fatoş’s brother-in-law forced himself on her when she was 16.

Sadık beat both of them until the Imam stopped him. Sadık then buried Fatoş and their daughter next to Fatoş’s mother, against Fatoş’s father’s wishes.
