In AlRawabi School for Girls season 2, Farah is a student at AlRawabi and Tasneem’s cousin. Raneem Haitham plays Farah.
Farah’s character closely mirrors Sarah’s when Sarah was striving to gain popularity on social media and to associate with individuals like Tasneem.
Farah is a loud, fun-loving individual who loves to gossip. Though Tasneem is her cousin, Farah doesn’t have the status quo that her cousin has. She is instead tolerated by Tasneem and her best friend, Hiba.
Farah’s struggles
Once Sarah becomes popular and Tasneem’s new best friend, Farah emerges as the character who has faced similar challenges as Sarah but has been unsuccessful in gaining attention.
Even Sarah, lost in her popularity, unknowingly ignores Farah, not realizing that she was in the same position that Farah is in today.
Farah’s mother can’t stand Tasneem’s mother. Hence, she has warned her daughter not to hang out with Tasneem.
However, Farah’s urge to be around popular people who have fun keeps driving her to Tasneem and forgiving her, no matter how many times Tasneem says hurtful things to her or forgets to invite her to the parties that Farah loves.
Farah is not even allowed to audition and showcase her talents for a performance at a special event at school. Tasneem and Hiba straight-up assign her the duties of lights and sound instead of having her on their crew.
Farah is left sitting in the corner, watching Sarah get the opportunity she could have had and receiving praise.
Farah’s heartbreak
It’s Farah who makes Tasneem realize that the world doesn’t revolve around her and how many times she has hurt people. Farah encourages Tasneem to not be selfish.
Tasneem learns from her mistakes. She stands up for Sarah. When the girls protest that they don’t want Sarah in their performance for the special event, Tasneem lets Farah become one of the leads.
However, the other girls don’t accept Farah as the lead either. Farah has the voice of an angel, which Hiba later hears. However, Hiba claims that Farah doesn’t have the looks and image to be one of the leads.
The treatment Farah receives from everyone at school breaks her heart little by little. Hearing people praise Hiba and her group’s performance makes Farah contemplate that these praises could have been hers.
Farah gives up
During the presentation of Shams’ documentary, Sarah has her friends by her side as she tells her story to the world. Unfortunately, Farah doesn’t.
Farah sees her silly videos in the documentary and people laugh at her. She struggles to take any more of it and leaves midway, without watching the documentary till the end and learning the purpose of it.
Shams’ documentary and Sarah’s experience teach the girls at AlRawabi the horrors of social media and tell them the truth about people they see online so that another girl won’t make the mistake Sarah did.
Unfortunately, the school still ends up losing another Sarah when Hiba finds Farah lying in the washroom, bleeding.
The second season ends with a dream sequence that shows what Farah’s performance would have looked like if she had been allowed the opportunities she fought for.
