Plot summary:
Camilo has been moping about ever since Eva left, but he’s also juggling the emotions rising with the news that Luisa is pregnant.
These come to a head when Eva arrives at his doorstep a little over two weeks after she left. Her father accepted the conditions of house arrest and negotiated her return.
Salcedo is stressed out because he was informed that Luisa ran away from her boarding school and Camilo tells Eva why.
Luisa turns up at Eva’s house because she is unsure where else to go. The two girls discuss Luisa’s options with Camilo and Rodrigo supporting them.
They consider terminating the pregnancy and are forced to ask Octavio Quinones for help since his uncle performs secret abortions in a back room.
They change their mind before going through with it and Luisa decides that she wants to keep the child.
Castro gets suspicious of the others and convinces Salcedo that something is going on. Their digging exposes the truth of Luisa’s pregnancy to the whole school.
Salcedo is enraged and his mother is similarly shocked and disappointed in her daughter for “disgracing” their name.
Eva attempts to be the voice of reason while Camilo wants to support Luisa in whatever she decides. His actions divide the opinions of his parents and drive a wedge between them.
Jose wanted his son to take responsibility and marry Luisa, and that included both of them dropping out of school.
Ana didn’t want them to make such a drastic decision and suggested talking things out. In the end, Luisa stayed with Ana and Camilo.
Jose was kicked out of his house because Ana realized they disagreed on a very big decision involving their son.
Eva wants Luisa to attend school but Dr. Alicia doesn’t let her rejoin after some of the parents express their concerns.
Eva uses this opportunity to convince her friends to strike and ensure that Luisa gets a fair chance at education.
When that doesn’t work, they approach the national newspaper through Eva’s contacts and publish an editorial that gathers public attention and forces the school to reconsider.
The editorial is a cumulative effort but Camilo gets much of the credit for writing it and approaches the editor about getting a job.
Jose goes to live with his mother and she tries to tell him that he’s making the wrong decision by pushing back against Ana’s opinions.
He was raised in a traditional household and many of his beliefs remained conservative and somewhat regressive in these changing times.
Camillo wants to be with Eva but she insists that given the complicated situation, she doesn’t think they can be together.
Ana starts exploring life as an independent woman for the first time in a very long time and maintains that she needs space whenever Jose asks to come back.

The kids manage to pass their final exams and Eva suggests going on a trip together. Camilo is chosen to cover the Antonio Cervantes Pambele fight in Puerto Rico.
Eva suggests traveling together to see Camilo off for his flight, and he asks her to come with him to Puerto Rico.
During the road trip, they stop in Bucaramanga where Eva surprises them by taking them to meet Pabon.
The friends are all happy to be together again and Pabon accompanies them for the last leg of their trip.
Luisa tells Camilo that she is okay with him and Eva being a couple, but Eva continues to insist that they cannot be together.
Camilo misses his flight and endangers his prospects with the paper, despite turning in a decent article about the fight.
They return for their senior year with new obstacles in their way. Quinones failed and has to repeat the year, meaning he is their classmate this time.
Camilo’s pursuit of Eva is complicated by the arrival of Alfredo, Eva’s ex-boyfriend. He says that he’s there to win her back but Eva has other ideas.
Jose gets jealous of Ana’s blossoming friendship with Adolfo and is increasingly frustrated with his mother’s casual lifestyle.
Luisa feels like a burden staying with Camilo and Ana, and Rodrigo offers her comfort. They start dating and their friends are accepting of their decision.
Eva wants them to add sex education to the final year curriculum and after much negotiation, the school appoints Dr. Rosario Cadena as their behavior and health teacher.
She has a history with Ana because both of them fought over Jose in school. Jose punches Adolfo and spends some time in jail.
Rosario gets him out and tells him that he’s the father of her child. She shares this with Ana and Camilo too.
To make this situation even more complicated, Jose’s mother introduces all of them to her new partner. Ms. Lucero.
Eva suggests a polyamorous relationship so that she can date Camilo and Alfredo together. It doesn’t last long as Eva gains the courage to face her demons after a drug trip.
She reveals that she was pregnant with Alfredo’s child and terminated the pregnancy, but she never told him about it.
When she does, it ends things between them and leaves the path clear for Camilo. He doesn’t do himself favors after supporting his father’s reaction to his family’s situation.
Camilo eventually realizes the error of his ways and starts making amends. He also meets his half-sister, Janet, who turns out to have Down syndrome.
Castro is worried about the upcoming exams and turns to the Acunas for help with a plan B in case he doesn’t pass.
They get caught and the three students are kicked out of school for their actions but Eva isn’t ready to let this happen so easily.
Pabon returns to Bogota because he wants to graduate with his friends.
Ending explained:
The democratic process
Eva decides to stand for the student council so that she can bring positive changes to the school on behalf of the students as well as bring Castro and the Acunas back.
Quinones decides that he has had enough of her activism and decides to stand against her. Rather than propose initiatives, he attacks Eva and all of her friends to defame them.
Eva begs the boys not to do anything but they meet Quinones after school and Pabon punches him in the face.
He returns the next day in a wheelchair with a neck brace and a sling to win over the sympathy of the teachers and other students while blaming Eva and her friends.
Family dynamics
Jose asks Rosario if he can spend time with Janet and grows to like her in a very short time. She tells him that if he wants to be a part of her life, he will have to start paying child support.
Ana tells Jose that she will be filing for divorce because she wants to be able to make decisions without pressure or judgment.
Adolfo asks her out but she says that she doesn’t love him. He hopes to remain friends and she agrees.
Jose doesn’t know how he can convince Ana to change her mind, but when he speaks to Adolfo and finds out that she turned him down, some hope arises in him.
Excited for the future
The students are waiting for the results of the elections when Luisa says that her water broke.
They all rush to the hospital and have to wait for hours while everyone connected to Luisa and Camilo show up for support.
Salcedo even calls his mother and she is grateful to be there for the birth of her grandchild.
Camilo thanked Rodrigo for being there to support Luisa because it made things easier. They get the news that Quinones won the election and Castro is devastated.
The mood doesn’t stay low for too long as the doctor informs them that Luisa had a healthy, premature baby girl.
Everyone celebrates the arrival of the child and Camilo writes about his emotions, optimistic about what lies ahead.
