Tore is 27, but he has never dated anyone. He has never felt the need to be with someone. That changes when he meets Erik, an older man who works at the flower shop that does business with Bosse’s funeral home.
Before Erik started working at the flower shop, he was a nurse. He quit his job not because he did not like the work but because of the schedule. His work often clashed with his personal life.
First love
After losing his father, Tore does everything he can to avoid his feelings. He is not ready to face his reality and grieve his father’s death. At a time when everything seems gloomy, he meets Erik.
Tore keeps trying to find ways to spend time with Erik. Since he is not adept at flirting, he tries to get Erik’s attention in the strangest ways possible. He even feigns a dizzy spell to get close to him.
Tore is going through a pretty tough time, and only the thought of being with Erik makes him smile. In a way, Erik becomes Tore’s source of happiness. Tore takes Shady Meat’s advice and asks Erik to give him driving lessons.
Initially, Erik, who is dealing with some issues of his own, refuses, but he eventually agrees to teach Tore. Erik is polite and nice, and Tore gets along with him. Erik seems to be the perfect person for Tore.
Erik’s secret
Tore gathers the courage to ask Erik out, and the two decide to have dinner at Erik’s house. The date makes Tore happy and excited, something that he has not felt since his father’s death.
He almost sleeps with Erik, but their date is interrupted by Erik’s boyfriend. It turns out that Erik failed to mention that he has a boyfriend. Erik and his partner are currently on a break, but they are in a very serious relationship.
Erik was going to have children with his partner, but his partner needed some time to think about their relationship. Erik had warned his partner that he was not going to wait for him forever, and that is when Tore entered his life.
Being with Tore gave Erik a break from his worries. Erik’s partner comes to his house to tell him that he is ready to have children with him. Tore overhears this conversation, and it hurts him that Erik has been using him and cheating on his boyfriend with him.
Tore, who is already struggling with managing his grief, loses the only thing that has been bringing him joy since his father’s death. This leads to Tore finally reconciling with Linn and accepting her help.
Tore goes to visit Erik the next day, but apart from an apology, Erik does not have anything to give to Tore. Disappointed and disheartened, Tore leaves Erik alone, knowing that Erik does not intend to date him.
