In the second season of T・P BON, a device known as the Dimension Ball threatens the collapse of space-time.
As recurring instances of unnatural space-time tears occur everywhere, Time Patrol agents, including Ream, are sent to investigate.
Ream, now part of the Anomaly Handling Unit, is tasked with investigating and fixing these space-time tears. However, during her mission, she goes missing.
A catastrophic experiment
Ream discovers that the source of the unnatural space-time tears is a sphere, which is known as the Dimension Ball.
Ream follows the sphere to Mohenjodaro in 2500 B.C. There, she meets the inventor of the sphere, who reveals that it was an experiment gone wrong.
The Dimension Ball is moving erratically through space-time by harnessing the power of a hyper-dimensional medium called Dimentron, which is used in all time boats and time receivers.
The inventor created the Dimension Ball to artificially generate the same energy as Dimentron, intending to advance human knowledge in space-time research.
However, during his experiments, the device slipped from his control, trapping him inside as it began to tear through space-time. This is how he ended up in Mohenjodaro and encountered Ream.
The temporal chaos caused by the Dimension Ball
Ream informs headquarters about the device and then climbs into the Dimension Ball, hoping to control it and prevent further damage.
However, she soon finds herself trapped inside with no way out and unable to control its erratic travel through time periods.
Additionally, Ream discovers that the Dimension Ball is responsible for her mentor Rosa’s disappearance. She witnesses Rosa being swallowed by a space-time tear created by the device.
On a mission to save a trader in Mohenjodaro in 2400 B.C., Bon learns about the Dimension Ball’s appearance a century earlier and travels back in time to rescue Ream.
He follows the Dimension Ball as it opens space-time tears everywhere, threatening the stability of the entire space-time. The unstable flow of space-time also disrupts the magnetic field.
In addition, the device cannot be unlocked until it is brought under control. The inventor informs Yumiko that the device is designed to self-destruct in case of unexpected accidents.
With Buyoyon’s help, Bon and Yumiko track the Dimension Ball, which is on the verge of exploding due to its unstable condition.
They reach the explosion site, and just as it occurs, they freeze time and then rewind it in slow motion, allowing Bon to pull Ream, who is now outside the device, away from the blast.
Together, Bon, Yumiko, and Buyoyon successfully save Ream’s life. Now that Ream possesses new information about her mentor’s disappearance, she is also able to rescue Rosa.
