Diba’s return in Shahmaran season 2 explained

Diba, played by Berfu Halisdemir, comes back from the dead in the second season of Shahmaran

Diba is one of Maran’s three sisters. She believes in the prophecy and is excited when Şahsu, who is central to the prophecy, arrives in Adana.

Diba eagerly waits for her brother and Şahsu to fall in love with each other. Along with her sisters, she even intervenes to bring them together, despite their father’s warnings.

Diba has a special power—she has visions and can detect other people’s emotions, which helps her understand what those around her are feeling.

She uses her powers to help Maran understand Şahsu’s feelings, which brings Maran closer to Şahsu, even though he is reluctant to be with her because of the prophecy.

Unfortunately, Diba meets an early end when Lilith returns and has Maran’s family, who are followers of Shahmaran, murdered.

Diba’s return and second death

After mourning his family’s deaths, Maran focuses on helping Şahsu pass the three trials that will lead to the rise of Shahmaran.

Lilith needs to weaken Şahsu, so she decides to have Maran killed. She brings Diba back to life to use Maran’s family against him.

Diba does not remember her death or how she has returned to the world after crossing over. She is unaware that she is here to fulfill Lilith’s purpose.

Diba reunites with Maran, and while he suspects Lilith’s involvement in her return and intends to watch Diba closely, he is still glad to have his sister back.

The Diba who now stands before Maran is not the same person he used to know. It does not take Maran and Şahsu long to notice Diba’s strange actions.

Even Davut, who has lost his memories, does not trust her. He senses that something is wrong with Diba and warns Şahsu about her.

Although Diba claims that she has no ulterior motive, she lets it slip that she, along with someone else, is after Shahmaran. She also knows about Şahsu’s trial.

Şahsu repeatedly warns Maran about Diba, recognizing her as a danger to both him and herself, but Maran is unwilling to abandon his sister.

Diba is the only family he has left, and he refuses to hurt her, even when she tries to harm Şahsu. Diba, not in control of herself, also hurts herself.

Late at night, her whispers draw Maran to the forest, where Diba stabs him in the back. Şahsu tries to stop Diba from killing Maran and ends up stabbing her.

Diba dies a second death. By killing Diba, Şahsu passes the second trial, which requires her to kill a basilisk she values as much as her own life, and enters the Door of Death.
