Danny Stevens: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 5 character explained

Danny Stevens is a comedian and a sitcom star who makes an appearance on The Gordon Ford Show in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. The character is played by Hank Azaria.

Moishe and Shirley an episode of Danny Steven’s show and praise his talent when Midge tells them that he’ll be on The Gordon Ford Show so she can get them tickets to see him live.

At work the next day, Midge has a copy of the book that Danny has written and is there to promote. When he sits in with the writers, he asks them to come up with better jokes than what his personal writers have written.

Midge tells him to use his own life as inspiration since the book has enough material to help him out.

A possessive boss

Danny comes on the show and is a massive hit with the audience. Afterward, he invites Midge to sit with him and Gordon and thanks her for her suggestion.

He then tells her about some projects that he has coming up and offers her a job as a scriptwriter. She politely declines while Gordon panics and tells Danny to back off because she already has a job.

Gordon and Danny get into an argument and Gordon is thrown out. The next morning, Midge finds out that she’s getting a raise and when she asks Gordon, he tells her that it was to keep Danny away.

He also insists that Danny was hitting on her, even though Midge doesn’t seem to think so.
