Cha Eun-Woo is a major supporting character in Welcome to Samdal-ri. A best friend to the protagonists, he has a jolly spirit and a friendly persona. The character is played by Bae Myung-Jin.

Cha Eun-Woo is one of the best friends of Cho Sam-Dal and Cho Yong-Pil, as well as other members of the Samdal-ri’s “Five Eagle Brothers” — Boo Sang-Do and Wang Kyung-Tae.

The Eagle brother

Eun-Woo rolls with the band with all the enthusiasm and zeal he can muster. He’s also one for the gossip and when word spreads around, it gets to him quickly as well, like Kyung-Tae.

His name causes many people who stumble upon him from the back or hear his name to be a bit hopeful at first, thinking it’s the popular singer and actor he shares his name with.

However, while the other Eun-Woo might be a man of great looks, the Eun-Woo of Samdal-ri is a man of great heart and personality.

Family and profession

Cha Eun-Woo is the head of his family and leads a satisfactory life from all that’s shown of him thus far. He works as an observer at Jeju’s Meteorological Administration.

Like all other youngsters in the village, and like his best friends, Eun-Woo also migrated to Seoul to achieve his dream. He returned with a wife, though, who was pregnant.

He currently lives with his wife and raises a stable family as the head. Good to his friends and his family, Eun-Woo remains one of the more grounded parts of the Eagle Brothers group.
