Brenda: Monarch: Legacy of Monsters character explained

In Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Brenda is an executive at AET, Applied Experimental Technologies. Dominique Tipper plays Brenda.

Brenda’s personality is not much different than that of Natalia Verdugo, who runs Monarch in the show. Brenda follows protocols and adheres to the mission of AET.

Still, in some cases, Brenda is far different than Verdugo. As sweet as she is, she can be manipulative.

She is quite ambitious, calculative, and opportunistic as well, and she prioritizes AET’s interests over any other concerns.

May crosses Brenda

Brenda hires May as a programmer for AET in 2012 after acknowledging her talents. Though May prides herself on being someone who doesn’t work for money, she joins AET.

After learning that AET is experimenting on animals, she does what is right by crashing AET’s systems and deleting years of data, costing them millions. May leaves the country and builds a new life in Japan.

Brenda helps May and her friends twice

AET eventually locates May and brings her into custody for what she has done. However, Brenda still gives May a chance to correct her mistakes instead of taking her to the police.

AET seeks to learn more about Titans, and using the opportunity she has, Brenda asks May to become a spy for them while she is working with Monarch.

Brenda interrogates May

May chooses not to lie to her friends anymore and stays back. However, Cate and Kentaro convince Verdugo to save May if they want their help. Monarch cuts a deal with AET to save May.

AET rebrands itself as Apex Cybernetics. It is run by none other than Walter Simmons.

In the finale, Brenda and Apex help Tim, Kentaro, and Hiroshi when Monarch won’t. Brenda and Apex pay for the arrangements made for the arrival of Cate, May, and Keiko, who return to Earth from Hollow Earth.

It is hinted that Tim, Hiroshi, and Kentaro have joined hands with Apex.
