Bonnie Witt: Bad Monkey character explained

Bonnie Witt is the woman having an affair with Andrew Yancy but she’s also hiding a secret past. Michelle Monaghan plays the character.

The first mention of Bonnie Witt is when Rogelio says that she agreed to testify against Andrew which is why he was suspended in the first place.

Bonnie is married to a dermatologist but is caught having an affair with Andrew. After Andrew nudges Cliff’s golf cart into the water with him in it, Andrew is suspended.

Bonnie agrees to testify in the case against Andrew but defends herself by saying he did it publicly with several witnesses and camera footage.

Andrew partly did it because he saw her with a big bruise under her eye from when Cliff slapped her.

More than meets the eye

Despite getting caught once, Bonnie continues to visit Andrew occasionally but she has a very fairweather personality that he cannot get a hold of.

He asks her why they haven’t left each other after what happened and Bonnie says that Cliff adores her.

She cannot leave him because he has some dirt on her that she doesn’t want to get out. It seems to be quite serious as she doesn’t say a word about it to Andrew.

Bonnie promises to talk to Cliff about the charges but she also “breaks up” with him, something that has happened multiple times before.

She even comments about letting him know her real name, a statement that confuses Andrew even more than he already was.

When Andrew spots a huge collection of books in her car, Bonnie says that she has to leave town and they might never see each other again.

Johnna Russell from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations tells Andrew that Bonnie Witt’s real name is Plove Chase.

She is wanted for sexual assault in Oklahoma and disappeared for nine years after jumping her bail.

Johnna says she spotted her on a YouTube video of Andrew pushing Cliff into the water at the docks.

Now she’s here to investigate and Andrew realizes why Bonnie said she had to leave town.
