Arthur Phoenix: Rising Impact character explained

Arthur Phoenix is Quester’s father and has a connection to Gawain Nanaumi. Todd Haberkorn voices the character.

Arthur Phoenix takes a special interest in the Camelot Cup and observes Tristan’s group during the individual competition.

When he spots a flash of light, he assumes it is Quester’s shot but is surprised to discover that it is Gawain.

During the break, he introduced himself to all the competitors and mentioned that he used to be a coach at Camelot almost ten years ago.

He is also Quester’s father, although the two of them do not get along well. He takes a special interest in Gawain and Merlin is suspicious of Arthur Phoenix’s arrival.

Hidden intentions

Arthur asks Gawain about his mother and when he hears that she passed away soon after he was born, he walks away.

The only sliver of emotion he displays is making a fist so tight that he bleeds. Quester is the only one to notice this.

Arthur is revealed as Gawain’s father and he is hurt to find out that his mother died.

Quester suspects that Gawain might be his sibling because Arthur once said that rising impact was a gift only passed down within the family.

As Gawain reaches the end of the competition, Arthur calls for an ambulance to take care of him.

Merlin and the other coaches realize that he did that and wonder what he intends by showing up after so long.

Arthur approaches Gawain in the hospital and asks him if he wants to join the new team that Arthur is setting up.

Gawain refuses, but Arthur does manage to poach Wanglian, Guanglian, and Bridget from the other Camelot Academies.
