Plot summary

Ada is dating Toprak, who is struggling to manage his time between his daughter and Ada. Toprak keeps breaking his promises, making it difficult for Ada to be an understanding partner.

Eventually, Toprak gets a music deal and decides to leave for two months to work on his album, which makes Ada feel like she is not important to him, leading to their breakup.

Ada grieves her relationship with Toprak as well as her past, including the end of her marriage with Selim, her mother’s death, and her father’s infidelity.

Ada then meets a patient named Diyar, who helps her by translating Spanish books for her research on different healing methods.

For her research, Ada continues attending Zaman’s sessions, but when the doctors at the hospital find out, they frown upon her belief in Zaman’s methods.

The higher-ups ask her to choose between her job and attending the sessions. As Ada is unwilling to give up her research, she loses her job.

She continues her research with Diyar, who keeps flirting with her until she agrees to date him. Ada then discovers that Diyar is Zaman’s son.

Zaman lost his wife in childbirth and failed to be there for his son, who was raised by his aunt. The death of his aunt devastated Diyar, leaving him with no support.

Zaman’s attempts to form a relationship with Diyar were too little, too late. Diyar has now come to town not to visit his father but to demand his share of the property.

Despite suspecting that Ada worked with his father, he deliberately never mentioned his father’s name to Ada, not wanting his father to ruin his relationship with the woman he loves.

When Ada finds out that Diyar is Zaman’s son, she feels betrayed. Her relationships with both Diyar and Zaman suffer.

Additionally, Toprak returns, wanting to be with Ada again, but Ada refuses to date him again because she has realized that he is not the one for her.

She also realizes that she is not ready to be in a relationship with Diyar. Their breakup leaves Diyar heartbroken.

Meanwhile, Sevgi is undergoing cancer treatment, which is making her bitter and hopeless. She wants to have her own children but is no longer fertile due to the treatment.

She refuses to forgive her mother for not telling her the truth about her father and ends up hurting Fiko, who moves out to give her space.

Then, her test results reveal that her cancer has spread, but she lies to her friends and family, telling them that she is cancer-free.

Sevgi does not want more treatments because she wishes to make the most of her remaining time. She apologizes to Fiko, who moves back in with her, and makes amends with her mother.

Then, there is Leyla, who is working on starting her restaurant while managing her pregnancy. Ada and Sevgi support her as much as they can.

Leyla gives birth to her daughter, Mavi, and even with the support of her friends, she struggles to care for both her children as a single mother.

When Fiko and Selim take responsibility for renovating the restaurant building, Leyla asks her mother to help with her children.

Leyla’s father disapproves of Erdem and refuses to meet her children. He only allows Leyla’s mother to stay with Leyla on the condition that she will convince Leyla to return to Antalya.

However, Leyla has no intention of moving or giving up on her restaurant, even though her parents believe that her business will fail.

Despite her refusal to move, Leyla’s mother stays with her and helps. It is only when Erdem is released from prison that Leyla’s mother leaves.

Leyla is not ready to forgive Erdem, so he works hard to prove himself to her. To make her happy, he does all the household chores, looks after their children, and works at the restaurant.

He even attends Zaman’s sessions at Leyla’s insistence. Confronting his past helps Erdem move forward and be better, leading to Leyla forgiving him.

Leyla and Fiko finally open their restaurant, but the day’s happiness is dampened when Ada and Leyla discover that Sevgi has been lying about her illness.

Ending explained:

The revelation of Sevgi’s secret

Ada had been suspicious about Sevgi’s recovery. She manages to get her hands on Sevgi’s reports, leading to her and Leyla finding out about Sevgi’s ailing health.

Sevgi forbids her friends from telling her husband and mother the truth. Knowing that she does not have much time left, Sevgi refuses to waste her remaining time on treatments.

Instead, she has a list of things she wishes to do before she dies, including finding her father’s grave. Ada and Leyla then help her locate her father’s village.

Her father, Aram, met her mother, Mukadder, in Istanbul. The two fell in love, but their story ended tragically when Aram died in a robbery.

While Aram’s body was taken to his village, a pregnant Mukadder left Istanbul with Aram’s friend, who promised to take care of her and her child.

With the help of a photograph Mukadder had kept all these years, Sevgi and her friends find her father’s village and his grave.

They also meet Sevgi’s grandfather, who had no way of finding Mukadder after Aram’s death. He has been living in the village in the hope of someday meeting his grandchild.

It does not take long for Sevgi’s grandfather to realize that she is sick. Using his ancestral knowledge, he prepares an herbal medicine for Sevgi.

After meeting her grandfather, Sevgi returns home and tells Fiko the truth about her illness, only to find out that he had already figured it out.

Sevgi still does not tell Mukadder about her cancer. Mukadder, believing that her daughter is well, decides to go on a trip.

Moving forward

Ada finally gathers the courage to go through the letters her father wrote to his other family and discovers that she has a half-sister, whom she fails to find online.

Ada never got the chance to make amends with her mother while she was alive, and she does not want Diyar to go through something similar.

She encourages him to let go of his resentment towards his father. Diyar takes her advice and decides not to sell the ancestral property that Zaman willingly gave him.

When he talks to Zaman, he learns that his father kept his distance because he was afraid of not being a good father, not because he did not love him.

With this new understanding, Diyar and Zaman reconcile, and their relationship improves. Diyar then moves in with his father.

Ada also forgives Zaman and shows him the paper she worked on after all her research. Furthermore, she helps him confront the darkness of his past and move forward.

Ada publishes her paper and bids goodbye to Toprak, who is moving to the Netherlands with his daughter, accepting that there is no hope for his and Ada’s relationship.

The beginning of a life-altering trip

Leyla and Fiko’s restaurant is struggling. With no money left, Leyla plans to close it and sell the building to repay their debts.

It is then that Leyla’s parents visit the restaurant and praise her work. Her father is now willing to meet her children and accept her relationship with Erdem.

Before closing, Leyla organizes a small gathering at the restaurant. On the same day, Fiko finds a mural hidden within a wall.

Leyla sees this mural as a blessing from her great-grandmother, Eleni, and is convinced not to sell the restaurant but to keep it running.

Meanwhile, Ada’s paper gains popularity, and she gets a job abroad. She shares the news with her friends and asks them to travel with her.

The three of them, along with Mavi, embark on a life-altering trip to a destination that only Ada knows and refuses to reveal to anyone.
