André Ford: The Morning Show season 3 character explained

In The Morning Show season 3, André Ford is a photographer who is dating Mia. Clive Standen plays André.

André is a freelancing photographer. He and Mia lived together during the COVID pandemic. André and Mia’s relationship falls apart when Mia sees him watching an interview of Mitch Kessler.

Mia confesses to André that she had an affair with Mitch and that she used to think that he was in love with her. André asks her why she is still working for UBA, and Mia replies that it’s her job. Mitch is gone; she is not. She believes in making a place better.

Mia’s answer doesn’t satisfy André, who comes back home after getting drunk. A disappointed Mia then packs her stuff and leaves. André later leaves their apartment too for an assignment in Afghanistan. The two stay connected.

André in Mariupol

When a bombing in a hospital in Mariupol takes place, with the help of Bradley’s connection, Mia sends André there to capture photographs.

The place is dangerous, and André is assuming all the liability. He is quite excited about it. André captures the photos and sends them to Mia. However, he tells her not to do anything until he is out of there.

André asks Mia not to do anything with the photos until he is out

Mia holds a breaking exclusive, as the release of these photos could land André on the kill list. After waiting for a while, Mia drops André a voicemail, hoping that he has managed to find a safe place, and decides to run the photos.

André returns

Mia keeps making calls for an update on André, but she fails to find out whether he is even alive. André shocks Mia by showing up for an interview on YDA.

Mia immediately leaves the studio to confront André, who claims that he risked his life and went to Mariupol to capture photos for Mia, and she should thank him, not confront him. Mia corrects him by stating that it’s he who wanted to go.

Mia points out that he chooses work over everything else and is a middle-aged adrenaline junkie who can’t commit to a zip code. André later visits Mia and apologizes to her for misbehaving.

André confesses that he misses her and wants to be with her again. Mia reminds him that they are not going to change for each other. The two agree to talk. They end their conversation with a kiss.
