In Blood Coast, Alice Vidal is the daughter of Pierre Vidal, an excellent cop. She transfers to Marseille to join Lyès’ team. Jeanne Goursaud plays Alice.
Lyès is informed that Alice, an officer from Interpol, will be joining his team if Internal Affairs lets him go for putting a civilian in danger while busting a drug deal.
Alice Vidal, much like her father, has an impeccable file. She is an excellent cop who adapts to life in Marseille and quickly fits into Lyès’ team.
Alice’s mission
Alice thrives on being like her father. She tells Fabiani that she is going to honor her late father by doing her job. The fact that Pierre always used to have thugs at his house stopping by helped Alice understand how criminals work better.
The experience has molded Alice to understand Marseille. Though Alice claims that she is in Marseille just for a change of scenery, the truth is that Alice has made efforts to come here because she knows about Murillo still being alive.
Alice and her team were tracking a weapons shipment coming from Marseille. They intercepted the unsold goods in Paris and discovered Murillo and Hamadi’s prints on them.
Murillo killed Alice’s father the day he was taken to his son’s funeral. The whole of Marseille believes Murillo is dead. Only Alice knows that Murillo has faked his death.
When Alice first meets Commissioner Fabiani, she is asked not to seek revenge. Murillo is dead, and Fabiani hopes that Alice is not here to hunt down Murillo’s associates.
Alice avenges her father
Alice, Lyès, and Lyès’ team work hand in hand to arrest Murillo and the Indian, as in Hamadi. Alice does get a chance to kill Murillo. However, she controls her emotions and lets Lyès arrest him instead.
The entire police department celebrates Lyès’ team for making this big arrest. Lyès applauds Alice for holding onto her emotions. Alice hopes that she has found peace. She and Lyès end the season getting intimate before Miranda shows up to arrest Lyès.
