Abra: Shahmaran season 2 character explained

The second season of Shahmaran introduces Abra, a basilisk forced to serve and remain loyal to Lilith. Olimpia Ahenk plays Abra.

Like Lilith, Abra was also trapped at the bottom of the well. When Lilith returns, she frees Abra, but despite her release, Abra is not entirely free. Abra remains bound to Lilith.

Abra, a powerful basilisk capable of paralyzing anyone, must now serve Lilith loyally, even when she disapproves of her actions.

Exploring and adapting

Abra returns to the world, unfamiliar with everything and everyone around her. She has to become familiar with herself as well.

Cihan, who has sworn loyalty to Lilith, guides her through this new reality. He makes her try different things and adapt to her unfamiliar surroundings.

Abra has not had anyone besides herself for as long as she can remember, which is why she finds herself growing attached to Cihan, her new companion.

She expresses her love for him in her own unique way by bringing him unconventional gifts. While Cihan is attracted to Abra, he does not fully grasp the depth of her feelings.

The more time Abra spends with Cihan and navigates the world, the more she is able to distinguish between right and wrong. Unlike Lilith, Abra does not come to hate humans.

Instead, she learns to be sympathetic and opposes brutality. When Cihan starts killing the innocent basilisks supporting Maran on Lilith’s orders, Abra can no longer remain silent.

Setting herself and Cihan free

Abra holds Cihan accountable for his actions. She points out how he has been Lilith’s puppet all this time, not even avenging his father’s death because Lilith forbade it.

Abra wants to break away from Lilith, but she cannot. While she is trapped, she knows that Cihan can be free.

She urges him to make his own choices instead of blindly following Lilith’s orders, and she does not let him off the hook until he does.

Shahmaran season 2 Abra
Cihan agrees to leave with Abra

Abra eventually convinces Cihan to leave his rage behind and start anew. When he informs Lilith of his decision, she frees both Cihan and Abra.

However, she also grants Cihan permission to kill Maran and avenge his father’s death, something he has long wanted.

Cihan gets swayed by Lilith and chooses vengeance over a new life with Abra. Instead of leaving with her, he decides to take revenge on Maran.

Just when Cihan is about to kill Maran, Abra uses her powers to paralyze him. She realizes that the only way to truly free both Cihan and herself from Lilith’s control is to die.

Abra uses her powers to paralyze Cihan and forces him to take his own life with the axe he was going to use to kill Maran, and then she takes her own, depriving Lilith of her two most loyal followers.
